The LEGO Group appoints new Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Commercial Officer

The LEGO Group has appointed two new members to its senior management team, replacing CMO Mads Nipper who left the company earlier this year.

January 1, 2015, Loren I. Shuster will take up the job as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Loren I. Shuster is 44 years old and holds an MBA and Masters in Organizational Psychology from INSEAD. He joins the LEGO Group from a position with Google as Managing Director, Brand Solutions, Asia Pacific. Loren I. Shuster’s longest experience before he joined Google in 2011 was 10 years with Nokia where he worked across Asia and Africa, before assuming a global marketing role as SVP ‘Go-to-Market’ based in Helsinki.

Julia Goldin will take up the job as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) as of January 1, 2015.

Julia Goldin is 45 years old and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining the LEGO Group she was Global CMO of Revlon, and has previously worked and lived in Europe, Asia and the USA holding several senior global and regional marketing leadership roles in the Coca-Cola Company.

CEO Jørgen Vig Knudstorp says about the appointments:

“We have strong ambitions of globalizing and innovating the LEGO experience. When replacing the former CMO it was clear to us that with our present strategic priorities it would be beneficial to divide the role in two. Our new team members come well equipped to supplement our present strong Corporate Management, and I am confident that they will bring in important experience to help us achieve our challenging strategic ambitions within globalization and digitalization.”

The new CMO and CCO will both be members of the LEGO Group’s Management Board.
