THE REVIEW:

For LEGO fans of “Ninjago”, you can’t really go wrong with any of the releases, especially those that are under $14.99.

You tend to get more bang for the buck and the same can be said with the “Hover Hunter” which comes with a Cole minifigure and a Nindroid.

The set comes with the evil Nindroid’s Hover Hunter which comes with a saw blade that spins when you roll it and its menacing blades and two flick missiles.

But fear not, as always, the Earth ninja, Cole can take this Hover Hunter down with his green Techno-Blade.

Before we begin, let’s take a look at the minifigures:

Cole sure has gone through several transformations.  No longer sporting the Ninja wrap for disguise, his suit showcases the golden emblem featuring the Earth element symbol and the gold metallic paint is nicely painted.  The green techno-blade is translucent and while I will miss the black katana and staff of the Dragons, this is still a cool weapon to take on the nasty, nindroid pests.

The Nindroid is menacing and also features a metallic silver paint on hits head and body.  I find it interesting that these Nindroid is powered by the shuriken in the middle of its back (also featured on the Hover Hunter).  It can utilize the blades that are on top of its Hover Hunter.

As for the vehicle itself, I absolute love thinking beyond the box for LEGO vehicle engineering.  I like how the vehicle, when rolled, moves the spinblade.  There is a lot of thought that went into how to make this vehicle can become functional, cool and inexpensive.

I like the use of the purple, silver, red and black…the signature color for the Nindroids.   If anything, I love the overall look of the vehicle and the parts featured in this set is quite unique and its quite interesting to see the enemies receive a cool, menacing vehicle such as the Hover Hunter and even better when you can find it at a low price.

The “LEGO NINJAGO – Masters of Spinjitzu – Hover Hunter (70720)” is yet another NINJAGO set that is priced just right for LEGO fans and fans of the series.  You get two minifigures and a vehicle, a cool, menacing one at that!

Children will find this LEGO set to be cool, parents will find it to be affordable and if you can find it for under $10, you are definitely getting it for deal!

While you may still find the Hover Hunter at retail stores, it has sold out on LEGO SHOP online.  But for fans of the “LEGO NINJAGO” series, this set is definitely worth owning!
