When Natalie (Anni Krueger) learns her cousin Olivia (Nia Vardalos) must cancel the Christmas Eve opening of her new Italian restaurant, Natalie’s heart goes out to all of the guests who were planning on attending. Since no one should be alone on Christmas, Natalie decides to make the opening happen any way she can. However, the attractive but pessimistic Chef Stefano (Gilles Marini) believes it’s impossible — there are only three days until Christmas! But Natalie insists that problems are just opportunities in disguise and soon she convinces Stefano that they can do it. At first, these opposites do not attract, but feelings begin to change when they find themselves working side-by-side. With Stefano’s help Natalie learns that cooking, like Christmas, isn’t about perfection… it’s about sharing it with the ones you love.

I have now reached day 21 of my holiday film marathon and it’s been rather interesting, but also entertaining. But I don’t mind as I love the holidays.

The next film I am watching is the Lifetime Telefilm “A Taste of Christmas” directed by Damian Romay and written by Kelly Peters and Amy Katherine Taylor.

The film stars Annie Krueger (“FBI”, “Werewolves Within”), Gilles Marini (“Sex and the City”, “Daredevil”, “Teen Wolf”, “Days of Our Lives”), Nia Vardalos (“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 and 2”, “I Hate Valentine’s Day”), Emma Myers (“Wednesday”) and Andrew Brodeur (“Tall Girl”, “MacGyver”).

The film revolves around the chippy, always positive, multi-talented Natalie Rogers (portrayed by Annie Krueger). Natalie is a woman who has many freelance jobs and likes to keep busy.

Every Christmas, Natalie spends the holidays with her cousin Olivia (portrayed by Nia Vardalos), Olivia tells her that she is stuck overseas due to a winter storm and may have to cancel the Christmas Eve opening of her new Italian restaurant, Ristorante Pezzo di Parma.

Natalie decides what if she can open her cousin’s Italian restaurant, so the Christmas Eve opening can still happen.

Natalie travels to the new restaurant and while going there to decorate the restaurant with Christmas decorations, she hears a noise inside and thinks its an intruder. It turns out to be Chef Stefano Grimaldi (portrayed by Gilles Marini). Natalie is taken back because she thought the chef was a very old man that looks like Santa Claus.

When she meets Savannah Meyers (portrayed by Mara Hall), who is a close friend of Olivia and knows of Olivia’s plans for the restaurant, and Savannah is determined to make sure that Olivia’s plans go through and a Christmas Eve opening will happen.

But it’s going to be challenging as the location of the restaurant, the building (and its plumbing) are not the best and also, Natalie and Stefano’s first meeting with each other is not the best, as Natalie learns from Stefano that she should not be in his kitchen and to not interfere with the chef.

But with Natalie’s sparkling personality and determination of getting the restaurant to open, will there be romance between Natalie and Stefano? But along with Natalie and Stefano are hired holiday help BeeBee Jordan (portrayed by Emma Myers) and Tyler (portrayed by Andrwe Brodeur), what happens when these two start falling for each other?

Overall, “A Taste of Christmas” is a fun holiday film about individuals trying to make sure that the Italian restaurant opens in time for Christmas Eve, but through the process of working with each other closely, seeing the protagonists Natalie and Stefano (possibly getting closer, as they don’t get along all that great) and BeeBee and Tyler (two teenagers who are not sure how they feel about each other).

But for the spirit the holidays, “A Taste of Christmas” is delightful and fun and for the most part, if you enjoy romantic comedies and want a Lifetime Television film that features romance and food, then definitely give “A Taste of Christmas” a chance!
