DVD REVIEW:

It’s really hard to believe that this movie about a President’s scandal came out right before the President Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. Who ever knew that a scandal like this would ever happen to the President of the United States.

Anyway, the movie is a bit farfetched but it’s very original and a very interesting way to see politics and Hollywood working together.

If you enjoy politics, this movie will interest you because it’s so different from any movie you will ever see in your life.  It’s just so different and makes you wonder if the government ever tried to use these tactics to hide something.  Well, if it makes you wonder, then buy this DVD because there are pretty cool special features.

First, the movie has been given the New Line Platinum treatment and this DVD doesn’t disappoint.  The audio is typical of a dialogue movie but as for the special features, if you don’t mind reading then you won’t mind the essay on politics and media titled “The Line Between Truth and Fiction”.  Also, the cool featurette titled “Washington to Hollywood and Back” is very cool to watch featuring a lot of well known political and behind-the-scene political figures.  Audio commentary by Levinson and Hoffman and more.

Definitely worth checking out if you are into political movies.  Although a comedy, this movie may make those who are sick of politics even sicker of it.
