Carey Joins the Star-Studded Roster of the 2009 “Toyota Concert Series On Today”
NEW YORK – July 14, 2009 – – Five-time Grammy-winner Mariah Carey will be the “Today” show’s season-ending performer for the Toyota summer concert series, Friday, August 28. The concert will include Carey’s performance of her new hit single “Obsessed,” which music critics are declaring the “#1 summer anthem.” “Obsessed” is the lead single from Mariah’s forthcoming album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.
Carey joins the hit-making roster of the 2009 “Toyota Concert Series On Today,” which kicked off with a special performance by No Doubt, the band’s first concert together in five years. This year’s concert series also included a special performance by Dave Matthews Band as well as an upcoming performance by Kings of Leon, both bands’ first morning television concerts.
