DVD REVIEW:

I’m not easily swayed by people who recommend me to watch a movie in a theater.  Why?  Because movie theaters fail me with screaming kids, pagers and cel phones going off, people talking and more.  That’s why I love watching my movies on DVD.  Sometimes I don’t mind waiting a few months after the release to watch them.  The same goes for the movie “The Sixth Sense”.

The problem with people who haven’t seen this movie is the ending has been discussed on radio, on television and on magazines.  You can try to shield yourself from learning the surprise ending but unfortunately everyone has heard what happens right?  If you haven’t, then have some fun and watch this movie right away.

The acting is very well done and one thing I can’t stand are child actors.  Haley Joel Osment though.  Whoah!  This boy can act!  Bruce Willis also does a great job!  Excellent performances from the two.

The movie was very good.  It’s not as scary as my sister who saw the movie twice told me but the movie is very good.  The extras also enhanced this movie for me.  Well, because there is many extras and also the director was very involved with each extra.  May it be the deleted scenes or some part of the movie, you can tell they had the pleasure of releasing the DVD version.  The only thing that would definitely be awesome is commentary by the director but he has done so much for this movie, you can’t have it all.

The video and sound is very well done.  The colors are nice and bright and the movie can get eerie at times.  I’m used to hearing my system loud but for those who aren’t, some sections of the movie were scaring the people I was watching the movie with.  Ahh, the beauty of digital surround sound.

I can’t find nothing wrong with this DVD (aside from sticking the trailers, so you have to watch them all or fast forward).  This DVD is highly recommended and oh, btw…don’t watch the extras until AFTER you watch the movie.  This movie is absolutely brilliant!
