Every year around this time, I get quite tense. But this time, my favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys have made it into the playoffs and I’m happy.
But I suppose the reason of being so tense is that the team they beat this past Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles who have always been a brutal rival, is their opponent this coming Saturday.
As a Dallas Cowboys fan, it’s been over 14 years since we saw any major progress in the playoffs. I still feel that 2006 was our year…and 2007, was our year but those are two years, that I try to forget about. Even if the networks continue to show those replays.
But this is a new Dallas Cowboys team. A young team that has a lot to prove. A team in which some of those losses shouldn’t have been losses. But let’s just hope that on Saturday, it all doesn’t come to a field goal…
