When Sam, an interior designer, returns home during the holidays to help renovate the Bell Harbor Inn, she gets paired with Coop as her contractor. The only problem – he’s the guy who broke her heart and she’s the one who got away.

When it comes to holiday films, one director that I have been accustomed to be looking forward to his films is filmmaker Brian Herzlinger (“Twinkle All the Way”, “A Christmas Dance Reunion”, “A Welcome Home Christmas”, “Twinkle All the Way”, “A Christmas Movie Christmas”) and two talents that are becoming familiar faces to holiday telefilms are Jana Kramer (“Christmas in Mississippi”, “Christmas in Louisiana”) and  Ryan McPartlin (“Twinkle All the Way”, “Heaven Sent”, “Once Upon a Main Street”).

And these three worked together for the Lifetime holiday telefilm “The Holiday Fix Up” which is written by Jessica Koosed.

The film also stars Steve Vinovich (“The Internet”, “Worth”), Maria Menounos (“Entourage”, “One Tree Hill”), Brandford Ford Green (“Good Grief”, “The Walls are Watching”) and Brian Sills (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”).

The film revolves around Sam (portrayed by Jana Kramer), the host of the home renovation show “The Sam Fix” and finds out that the holiday live show is being given to a new up-and-coming female host.

Her manager Josh (portrayed by Brian Sills) tells Sam that she should go back to doing these videos that covered her life, as most of her videos now is about work.  But Sam tells him that she is too busy.

But Josh gives Sam the holiday off to rest and come up with some ideas for the show and what she can do to promote it and comes across a news story that Bell Harbor Inn was damaged after a storm causes a tree to fall through the roof.  For Sam, this is an important place as she grew up going to the Bell Harbor Inn with her family and friends.

The owner Jack calls Sam to find out if she can help, but Sam is too busy.  But when she hears that they may have to cancel the annual holiday event at Bell Harbor Inn, she decides to go there during the holidays to to repair the place as long as there is crew.  Jack tells her he has a crew.

Meanwhile, Sam’s ex-boyfriend Coop still has a tough time getting over his break from Sam but when she arrives at his sister Jenny’s (portrayed by Maria Menounous) coffeeshop, he is shocked to see that Sam back home.

And even more surprising to both is that Sam is back to help repair the Bell Harborn Inn and that crew that will be helping her is Coop.

Can these two exes work together in getting the Bell Harbor Inn completed before Christmas?

Needless to say, this is an entertaining romance holiday film.  Especially as you learn the reasons why these two split up and to be reunited again, it’s interesting to see these two work and grow with one another.

Great chemistry between Jana Kramer and Ryan McPartlin.  And it’s a Brian Herzlinger holiday telefilm, which his holiday telefilms are the ones I tend to enjoy a lot. So, naturally I had high hopes for this holiday film and it was really good.
