Beverly Hills, CA – The life and career of playwright, composer, director and actor Noël Coward will be celebrated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as part of its “Monday Nights with Oscar®” series on Monday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at the Academy Theater at Lighthouse International in New York City. The screening of “Cavalcade,” hosted by curator Brad Rosenstein, will also debut a display of images and posters from Coward’s films in the theater lobby.
Based on Coward’s 1931 smash London theatrical production, “Cavalcade” follows a wealthy family as they experience key historical events in the first three decades of the 20th century, including the Titanic tragedy and World War I.
