I really like how Nickelodeon is giving fans the opportunity to view episodes before their air date.  In this situation, “Runaway Roadtrip” features five episodes that will be featured on DVD nearly two months before it airs on television.  The DVD contains a total of six episodes including the two bonus special feature episodes.  So, although listed as 66 minutes, you’re actually get nearly 90-minutes worth of SpongeBob episodes.

The main five episodes on this DVD are about vacationing and features SpongeBob and friends on vacation and of course, whenever SpongeBob and Patrick are around, you know that things are going to get very… interesting.

I can tell you right now, if your child is like mine and loves the series, don’t be surprised if they love this DVD and watch it and re-watch many times during the summer break.

My home is “SpongeBob SquarePants” mania for my eight-year-old. For the past three years, he has been a big fan of the animated series and has wanted everything that the character is featured on, may it be yogurt to toothpaste, he is a SpongeBob maniac and thus, he was excited when I watched this DVD alongside with him. I can’t help but think that if my son is this way, I can imagine how in the last decade, parents had to deal with their children loving this animated series and wanting SpongeBob this and SpongeBob that. My wife have found the “SpongeBob SquarePants” a hilarious and fun series. Especially when interacting with your kids, especially with the family singing along with the theme song.

If you are looking for a good gift for a your child or a friend/family member’s child or just looking for a good commute video to keep the kids quiet during the long drive, “SpongeBob SquarePants: Runaway Roadtrip” is definitely a release worth picking up for the kids!
