SMAP – shake (a J!-ENT World Groove CD Single Review)

“shake” is SMAP’s follow-up to their song “Aoi Inazuma” and maintains the fun, catchy and enjoyable atmosphere that the guys have brought to their music since Katsuyuki Mori had left the group.    Overall, an enjoyable song and definitely one of my favorite SMAP songs!

SMAP showed us that without Katsuyuki Mori (who left the group earlier this past May), the group can still function as a music unit and “Aoi Inazuma” proved to us that they are just fine.

And once again, the group is back with a upbeat, catchy and addictive track titled “shake”. What an awesome, addictive and fun song and yet another track where Takuya Kimura has fun with as well, may it be in the background vocals or his solo segment. For anyone who have seen the guys perform this live, I also dig the choreography for this song as well!

The coupling track “Damatte Ore ni Tsuite Koi” (which translates to “Follow Me without Nothing”) is a smooth, upbeat track. Actually, the track is a pretty cool coupling track and I dig the musical arrangement for the song as well.
The final two tracks are the instrumental versions of the first two vocal tracks.

Overall, if you are a fan of SMAP, “shake” is an awesome single worth owning!
