KNOWN DVD SECRET(S):

All four Serial Experiments Lain DVD’s have hidden pieces on the main menu by just hitting left on your remote. This will highlight usually Lain’s eyes but I think the first one highlights a letter in the logo above the options. All of these lead to single or multi-image clips that are worth checking out. Submitted by Colin Lacativa and Joshua Vandecar Disc 3. click emblem on school uniform

DVD REVIEW:

Some people love this anime and many people hate it.  You can read the reviews below, it’s a different kind of anime.  Cerebral one may say.  The kind of anime I thrive on.

This anime is very artsy but in a cool way.  Many people will hate that though…

I don’t care.  If you have an open mind.  If you are a thinker.  I mean…a hardcore thinker.  This anime does things to make you think.  I haven’t watched the whole series but I can’t wait to get the next disc.

The extras are small in comparison…You get three episodes and the small extra’s which accompany the video afterwards but that’s about it.  I was hoping to see some trailers for anime released by Pioneer but not sure why they didn’t add it. I still feel that anime companies can do better with their DVD releases.  More can be added since they are more expensive than standard movie DVD’s.

Oh, if anything, the music and the ambience really makes this anime trippy.  My brother calls this anime, “anime on acid”.

I see it as an artistic interpretation of a story to make one think.  It’s not for everyone but I really like it a lot!

On the third DVD, we start to learn more about the storyline…hmm…what’s going to happen to the KNIGHTS?
