SELENA GOMEZ TALKS ABOUT JUSTIN BIEBER ON CBS’s “LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16

Actress and singer Selena Gomez talks about her rumored relationship with pop sensation Justin Bieber on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Wednesday, March 16.

During the interview, Letterman holds a photo in his hand and asks, “Can I show this picture?  Will this bother you if I show this photo?”  Letterman shows it to her and Gomez says, “Oh, that’s cute,” and lets him show the photo, a picture of her and Bieber together, to the audience.  “This is you and Justin Bieber,” Letterman says, and when the audience gives an audible, “Awww!” at seeing the photo, the host laughs, “Oh, now, come on!”  “You know where this was taken?” Letterman asks.  “The Vanity Fair Oscar party,” Gomez replies.  “That’s right, February 27th,” Letterman adds.  “And then, he was your date?  You’re dating – are you dating?  You’re not dating?”  Gomez coyly says, “It was like a little prom night, wasn’t it?  Looked like it.”

“You guys look very happy there,” Letterman says.  “How long have you known him?”  “Uh, almost, like, two years now,” Gomez replies.  “Two years?  Where did you meet?” Letterman asks.  “People gotta meet somewhere, right?”  “Actually, his manager called my mom, who’s my manager,” Gomez reveals.  “I heard he was your paperboy,” Letterman jokes, and Gomez replies, “I’m blushing!”  “Yeah, but is there – I mean, I don’t know,” Letterman continues, “are you dating?  You’re not dating?”  “He’s been in my life for so long,” Gomez says, “and it’s just nice to have someone that understands what you’re going through.”  “Now, listen, this is not my first rodeo,” Letterman jokes.  “You can talk to me talk to me about these things.  I understand, because of your circumstance and his circumstance, the reluctance necessary in discussing a relationship like this, so I’m not gonna press anything.”  “Aww, well, that’s very sweet,” an appreciative Gomez says.  “Yeah, so, but good luck,” Letterman adds, to which Gomez says, “Thank you.”  Gomez’s entire interview can be seen on the LATE SHOW tonight (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Also on the LATE SHOW tonight, Steve Martin talks about embracing Twitter, and also performs banjo with the Steep Canyon Rangers later in the broadcast.  Martin is promoting his latest album with the Steep Canyon Rangers, Rare Bird, which was released Tuesday.

The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated.  Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
