  1. Careless Whisper

You would expect the popular ballad “Careless Whisper” to be covered by a pop artist but in one of the most unlikely covers by a band, Seether’s cover version of the popular Wham song is actually quite good.

The South African post-grunge band known for hits such as “Broken”, “Remedy” and “Fake It” consists of Shaun Morgan on  lead vocals, rhythm & lead guitars; Troy McLawhorn on lead guitars, backing vocals; Dale Stewart – bass, acoustic guitars, backing vocals and John Humphrey on drums and percussion.

From the popular “Careless Whisper” riff courtesy of Troy McLawhorn on guitars and Shaun Morgan’s cool, raspy delivery on vocals, Seether’s cover version is electric guitar-driven, cool and not schmaltzy or weak.

All in all, a pretty cool rockin’ cover of the original.
