A legendary name in house music that needs little introduction, Todd Edwards has built his unique brand of uplifting vocal infused tracks for over a decade, notably collaborating with artists such as Daft Punk, Justice, and Klaxons. His Scion A/V Remix collection for “I Might Be” will be released May 25th at all major digital retailers, which includes remixes by cutting-edge dance producers from across the globe.
The title track, a new Todd Edwards original that instantly becomes his own features his signature bassline and vocal manipulation, creating a flawless template that London’s Joy Orbison, UK Garage producer MJ Cole, Ed Banger Records’ Feadz, and Ann Arbor-based dance rock band My Dear Disco. Each of the remixers provide innovative interpretations of “I Might Be”, bringing the best qualities from their respective areas of expertise: Joy Orbison creates a sparse, downtempo atmosphere highlighting the complex vocals of the original, MJ Cole adds a classic UK garage touch, Feadz takes the dancefloor to peak-hour intensity, and My Dear Disco revise the track into their own orchestration of frenetic electro-synth elements.
In its continual effort to show support for the arts, Scion covers all production, licensing and distribution costs for the A/V projects, and all proceeds go directly back to the label and artists involved.
