EXTRAS:

“Quantico – The Complete First Season” comes with a slipcover.

Addictive and captivating, “Quantico” is one of the best series currently airing on television!

“Quantico” is a series which comes off like a crime/drama series featuring a group of young FBI recruits.  All with their own personal baggage and trying to pass the Academy.

But as the series progresses, we realize immediately that this series is anything but.  You do get the FBI recruit storyline, as we get to see the chemistry develop of each character and how they handle their own personal issues and how the become a team, but the more we watch, we see how the series revolves around Alex Parrish (portrayed by People’s Choice Award winner, Priyanka Chopra), an FBI Agent who has been accused for masterminding the largest terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11.

Alex wakes up with no memories of what happened.  She was assigned to be on detail near the area where the terrorist attack happened but because she was the only person that survived within the radius and so Alex is considered a primary suspect.

While being taken to prison, she is rescued by her mentor, Assistant Director of the FBI Academy at Quantico, Miranda Shaw.  And as Alex tries to find out who framed her and who is responsible for the attacks, her friends and former recruits at the FBI Academy are now hunting her down.

And Alex Parrish becomes the most wanted person in the United States.  Can she prove her innocence and can they find the true mastermind of the terrorist attacks?

As for this DVD set, picture quality and audio quality are very good.  Picture quality is as good as one can expect on DVD, audio features crystal clear audio and music, with ambiance and sound effects being utilized on the surround channels. As for special features, you get a video commentary, featurettes, bloopers and several deleted scenes.

Overall, “Quantico” was a fantastic first season with solid writing and each episode keeping you on the edge of your seat.  Part of the success of the series is due to the wonderful characters featuring a good amount of character building episodes to make these characters easy to sympathize and root for.

“Quantico” is a series that manages to balance two storylines.  One storyline that revolves around the recruits trying to pass the academy at Quantico and then the present storyline featuring Alex being accused of being the mastermind of the largest terrorist attack since 9/11.  And with each episode, we see how Alex changes from the first episode to the final episode when the true mastermind of the attacks are revealed.

The series tries to cast doubt on many characters, friends of Alex who are promising FBI agents but at the same time, each with their own personal baggage.  Can any of these individuals be responsible for the terrorist attacks?

Overall, “Quantico” is a riveting and captivating drama. Definitely one of my favorite series currently airing on television.

Featuring a storyline with many surprising twists and turns and nothing is predictable.  Each episode sports solid writing and wonderful performances, “Quantico – The Complete First Season” is highly recommended!
