Ronni Chasen (third person from left on the photo) is regarded as one of Hollywood’s most hardworking, respectable publicists in the entertainment industry.

While driving home after the Hollywood premiere of “Burlesque” in Beverly Hills, the publicist was shot dead while driving her car on Sunset and Whittier.

According to news reports, Beverly Hills police received information around 12:28 a.m. that shots were heard in the area of Sunset and Whittier. Ronni’s car had crashed into a lightpole and was found inside with multiple gunshots to her chest. The driver’s side car window was broken but according to reports, nothing was stolen.

Ronni was transported by paramedics to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Ronni had worked on many films since 1973 including “Cocoon”, “Rock III”, “Rock IV”, “Driving Miss Daisy”, “Lolita” “Robin Hood: Princes of Thieves”, etc. And even up until yesterday, according to many reports, especially those who saw her at the Hollywood premiere of “Burlesque”, many filmmakers and producers in Hollywood have been approaching Ronni to represent their film for the upcoming Oscar campaign.
