HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – At once a humorous look at the folly of human ambition and a parable about the dark side of the American Dream, the wildly entertaining independent film PRETTY BIRD makes its DVD debut on June 29, 2010 from Paramount Home Entertainment. Featuring an outstanding ensemble cast including Billy Crudup (Public Enemies), Paul Giamatti (Sideways), Kristen Wiig (Knocked Up), David Hornsby (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Anna Camp (“True Blood”), PRETTY BIRD is based on the outrageous true story of three would-be entrepreneurs who set out to invent and market a personal rocket belt. As personalities clash and individual agendas emerge, the partnership begins to unravel in shockingly unexpected ways. The film was directed by actor/filmmaker Paul Schneider (“Parks and Recreation”, Lars and the Real Girl) and was adapted from the book The Rocketball Caper: A True Tale of Invention, Obsession and Murder by Paul Brown.

The PRETTY BIRD DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 televisions with English 5.1 Surround and English subtitles.
