OXYGEN’S “SNAPPED” RETURNS WITH A NEW EPISODE ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26 AT 9PM ET/PT

NEW YORK – February 22, 2012 – A bookkeeper gets behind on taxes for the family’s business and her husband turns up dead before he learns about her secret on Oxygen’s “Snapped” airing February 26 at 9PM ET/PT. Viewers can follow the show @SnappedonOxygen on Twitter and tweet live with fellow fans during the show using #Snapped.

While Bob and Amy Bosley do not have a conventional marriage – Bob freely participated in extramarital affairs – it appears to be a successful one. Bob entrusts his wife to handle the financials of the family’s booming chimney sweep and roofing business; however, unbeknownst to him, the company owes the IRS over $1 million in back taxes. As it becomes increasingly difficult for Amy to keep the company’s financial problems a secret, Amy finds herself in the middle of a more dreadful situation – the murder of her husband at the hands of a burglar. After Amy places a hysterical call to 9-1-1 reporting the intrusion and shooting, police arrive on the scene and find Bob’s dead body in a crime scene that the investigation team describes as made-for-TV. Was Bob the unfortunate victim of a home invasion gone wrong or had Amy resorted to murdering her husband to keep him in the dark about their tax trouble

“Snapped” features every day, seemingly average moms, wives and girlfriends who are accused of committing murder. Did they really do it? And if so, why? Was it a cheating spouse, years of constant abuse or that dirty dish in the sink? Whatever the situation, the women share a common bond–they all allegedly snapped!

For the “Snapped” super fan www.oxygen.com has all new photos, bonus videos and message boards for fans to chat and discuss each episode.
