OXYGEN MEDIA ADDS THREE NEW DOCU-SERIES TO DEVELOPMENT PIPELINE

“All the Right Moves (wt),” “That’s D’Amore (wt)” and “Taking NY (wt)” Join a Jam Packed Development Slate

NEW YORK – November 29, 2011 – Oxygen revs up its development slate with the addition of three new docu-series that speak directly to Oxygen’s young, female ‘Generation O’ audience. The development pipeline expands with titles featuring storylines resonating with the Oxygen viewer: friendships, family and drama and they include: “All the Right Moves (wt),” featuring Emmy nominated choreographer Travis Wall (“So You Think You Can Dance”) and his friends who live together while forming a cutting edge dance troupe, “That’s D’Amore (wt),” offering a peek at the lives of three sisters who have been afforded a life of luxury thanks to the family business – a very successful chain of pizza restaurants in Southern California, and “Taking NY (wt),” following a group of successful young women based in New York City who are best friends and trying to “have it all.” These titles join an already robust development slate with five greenlit series already slated to join the Oxygen schedule in 2012.

Cori Abraham, Senior Vice President, Development commented, “We’ve had so many great projects to choose from. These new character driven docu-series are filled with relationships, drama and fun – exactly what the Oxygen audience is obsessed with.”

OXYGEN SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT:

“All the Right Moves (wt)” features Emmy nominated choreographer Travis Wall (“So You Think You Can Dance,” “Step Up 4”) and his lifelong friends and roommates, Teddy Forance (dancer/choreographer with “Cirque du Soleil,” Kelly Clarkson’s appearance on the “American Music Awards”) dancer Nick Lazzarini (winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” season one) and Julliard trained Kyle Robinson (recently featured on “Dancing with the Stars”). Together they are joining forces in a bold and risky move – launching their own dance company, Shaping Sound. With their careers, reputations and friendships on the line, they strive to change the world of dance forever and achieve their dreams of giving background dancers a chance in the spotlight. “All the Right Moves (wt)” is produced by World of Wonder Productions with Randy Barbato, Fenton Bailey and Tom Campbell serving as executive producers.

“That’s D’Amore (wt)” features sisters Caroline, Bonnie and Christie – The D’Amores. Together with their family they have been running the #1 chain of pizza restaurants in So Cal for years which has afforded them a rich, Malibu lifestyle. But now, all three sisters have aspirations beyond pizza – they want their own careers. However, they’ve become accustomed to Daddy Joe funding their lifestyles and none of them know how to make it on their own. Will they be able to become independent or will they get stuck in the family business forever? “That’s D’Amore (wt)” is produced by RelativityREAL and Ellen Rakieten Entertainment with Tom Forman and Ellen Rakieten serving as executive producers.

“Taking NY (wt)” focuses on a group of gorgeous, well-dressed, high powered and well-connected women in New York City including: Leigh Cherrier (Beauty Director for Louis Licari), Marianne Garvey (Gossip Columnist), Leila Shams (Fashion Designer) and Kelly Brady (Celebrity Publicist). They’re the “it” girls in the world of fashion, beauty, gossip and entertainment. These big apple “besties” might seem like they have it all but their lives are anything but perfect. This one-hour docu-series chronicles the ups and downs of best friends fighting to have it all in the big city- a man, a corner office, looks that kill and a slammin’ social life- all while trying to keep their cool. These women are at a pivotal moment in their lives, having to make decisions that will not only affect their friendships, but their futures as well. “Taking NY (wt)” is produced by Discovery Studios with Daniel Soiseth serving as executive producer and Lauren Weber as co-executive producer.

These three titles in development come on the heels of the series greenlight announcement for “The Eva Marcille Project (wt)” and “LA Style (wt)” as well as several new series slated to join the Oxygen schedule including: “The Next Big Thing (wt),” “Brooklyn Crew” and “Tanisha Gets Married (wt).”
