NBC DELIVERS A NIGHT OF NON-STOP LAUGHS AND GIVES POWER TO THE PEOPLE WHEN THE TOP TEN PERFORM FOR AMERICA’S VOTES ON “LAST COMIC STANDING” ON MONDAY, JULY 12 (9-10 P.M. ET)

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – July 7, 2010 – The semi-finals are now over, and the best of the best – the top ten comic finalists – will deliver big laughs on a must-see episode of “Last Comic Standing” on Monday, July 12 (9-10 p.m. ET). This week, NBC gives power to the people as viewers get to vote for their favorites to determine who will advance in the lively laughfest competition.

Only ten comics remain in the game: James Adomian (Los Angeles, CA), Mike Destefano (Bronx, NY), Felipe Esparza (Los Angeles, CA), Rachel Feinstein (Washington D.C.), Tommy Johnagin (Benton, IL), Myq Kaplan (Boston, MA), Laurie Kilmartin (Walnut Creek, CA), Jonathan Thymius (Bronx, NY), Maronzio Vance (Charlotte, NC) and Roy Wood, Jr. (Birmingham, AL).

After each of the ten finalists has performed, America will be able to vote for their favorites by phone for two hours in each time zone after the show ends, and online at www.nbc.com until two hours after the show has ended in the last broadcast time zone. Based on America’s vote, three comics will be eliminated during the following week’s show on July 19, leaving only seven left to compete for the coveted title of “Last Comic Standing” and the $250,000 grand prize, plus an exclusive talent deal with the network. The winner will also be featured in the “Last Comic Standing” live tour this fall.

“Last Comic Standing,” hosted by Craig Robinson (“The Office”), is produced by Peter Engel Productions and Universal Media Studios. The executive producers are Peter Engel (“Saved by the Bell,” “The Next Best Thing”), Jayson Dinsmore (“I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”) and Barry Katz (“Action,” “Dane Cook’s Tourgasm”).
