Lady Gaga received a lot of attention with her dress that was made of cut up meat and many people wondered if the meat was real. News host Ellen DeGeneres did confirm the dress was in fact made of real meat and during her interview with Lady Gaga, the pop singer said, “As you know I am the most judgment free human being on the earth. If we don’t stand up for what we believe in and don’t stand up for our rights pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones.”

Meanwhile, PETA released the following statement:

Wearing a dress made out cuts of dead cows is offensive enough to bring comment, but someone should whisper in her ear that there are more people who are upset by butchery than who are impressed by it.
