“JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!” WELCOMES YOUTUBE SENSATION ATOMIC TOM FOR THEIR FIRST EVER LATE NIGHT PERFORMANCE THIS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28

In the longstanding tradition of showcasing groundbreaking artists, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” welcomes Atomic Tom, the band that became an instant viral sensation following their revolutionary performance using iPhones as instruments while riding the New York city subway. Playing their hit song with traditional instruments as well as iPhones, it’s an event you definitely will not want to miss, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28 on the ABC Television Network.

Check out the video that made the band famous, an iPhone rendition of their single “Take Me Out,” which is at almost 3 million views on YouTube since posting on October 15th (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAllFWSl998&feature=player_embedded). Atomic Tom’s debut album, “The Moment,” hits stores November 23rd and is available now for download.

This late night television event joins a long list of one-of-a-kind artist performances at “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” which has a strong history of bringing its audience premiere music acts in a unique atmosphere, including closing down an entire stretch of Hollywood Blvd. for exclusive performances by Jay-Z and Coldplay, as well as for an audience of over 16,000 to enjoy a Depeche Mode concert. The late-night talk show was the choice of world renowned super group Destiny’s Child for their farewell performance, and also makes unique use of its neighboring venue, Hollywood & Highland Complex, to set the stage for performances for high profile artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Mariah Carey.

Jimmy also welcomes actress Mandy Moore and ABC News correspondent and host John Qui–ones Thursday, October 28th (12:05 a.m., ET) on ABC.
