Fierce animals need rescuing too! Join Diego for a double-length adventure recalling some of the fiercest animals he’s ever rescued! Gorillas and grizzly bears, hippos and lions, even an octopus in Australia! And when a big jaguar is lost in a nearby village, Diego, Baby Jaguar, his team, and YOU need to save the day! Plus, help Diego rescue a Pampas cat and her kittens and a cotton-top tamarin lost in a cave!

It’s adventure time and with your child’s help, some of the world’s fiercest animals need rescuing too!  And what best with the latest “Go Diego Go!” DVD titled “Fierecest Animal Rescues” in which Diego travels the world to help an octopus, gorilla, jaguar, bears and more!

I can easily remember how my son would watch “Dora the Explorer” and really enjoyed the series. But if there was a character that he did enjoy watching, it was Diego, the 8-year-old adventurer who has protected the rainforests and sure enough, in 2005, Nickelodeon gave Diego his own show titled “Go Diego Go!”.

And here we are with a new volume featuring many adventures of Diego rescuing animals all over the world in a new DVD titled “Go Diego Go!: Fiercest Animal Rescues”.

Similar to “Dora the Explorer”, “Go Diego Go!” is a series that helps children learn about animals (in this DVD – octopus, gorilla, jaguar, bears and more), animal and environmental conservation, Spanish language skills, matching and physical motion.

The episodes featured on this DVD are:

  • Fiercest Animal – A double episode, Diego, Rosita and Martin take a trip to the adventure cave to talk about the five fiercest animals that Diego rescued.
  • Cotton-Top Tamarin Cave Rescue – Diego is in the Columbian rainforest where he needs to rescue a cotton-top tamarin.
  • Pampas and Friends Help the Rescue Center – The animals at the Rescue Center need Diego’s help especially the Pampas cat who is missing her kittens.

VIDEO & AUDIO:

“Go Diego Go!: Fiercest Animal Rescues” is presented in full screen and in Dolby Digital English stereo. Animation features vibrant colors and dialogue is clear and understandable. Picture quality is good as there are some animated shows that are newer than others. But overall, this is for the children and the picture and audio quality should be satisfactory.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

“Go Diego Go!: Fiercest Animal Rescues” comes with no special features.

“Go Diego Go!” is a fantastic series for the children and a very good DVD (especially on long commutes) in order to help children with their decision skills but also teaching them about animals, the environment but also Spanish language skills, matching and physical motion.

The theme for this DVD is pretty much Diego saving animals all over the world. Joined with his sister Alicia or other animals from different continents, children get to learn a little about geography as well, in this latest volume.

If anything, it was very good for Nickelodeon to have an animated series on a boy adventurer and sure enough, my son who grew up with the series absolutely loved the show. This latest volume “Fiercest Animal Rescues” is one of the few “Go! Diego Go!” DVD’s that have a few episodes, as the last volume “Diego Saves the World” came with six episodes, “Fiercest Animal Rescues” only comes with three.  Granted, the episode “Fiercest Animals!” is actually a double-episode, so you are actually getting four.

As for special features, unfortunately, there are no special features in this DVD release.

But for “Go Diego Go!”, children who love this series will no doubt love the episodes featured in this latest DVD .  ,

“Go Diego Go!: Fiercest Animal Rescues” is entertaining for the children, family fun episodes that parents can watch with their children or children can watch alone and learn from.  If you are looking for an educational and safe DVD for your child/children, you can’t go wrong with “Go Diego Go!”.
