The FOX musical, comedy-drama known as “Glee” has received a lot of praise and its popularity of the show and the music has done extremely well in the US as well as in several countries. With several soundtracks released and each having entered in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 Music Charts and just weeks after the release of  “Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers” comes the latest EP titled “Glee: The Music – Journey to Regionals” which is literally the music from the season 1 finale.

And if there was one thing teased to fellow Gleeks is that there would be more Journey coming and in the season finale, viewers got to see a Journey medley and with this latest EP, you definitely get some Journey, Queen, Lulu and more.

You get the New Directions glee club from William McKinley High School members Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) performing “Faithfully”, the Glee cast performing “Any Way You Want It/Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin'” and the regionals version of the cast singing “Don’t Stop Believin'”.

And you also get the rivals with Vocal Adrenaline glee club member Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) and team performing Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, the Glee cast performing Lulu classic “To Sir With Love” and McKinley High’s Spanish teacher (and glee club advisor) Will Schuster singing “Over the Rainbow” ala the Israel Kamakawiwo’ole style.

Overall, “Glee: The Music – Journey to Regionals” is a pretty cool EP but again, it all comes down to how much you enjoy “Glee”.  Fans will definitely enjoy the show and haters will continue to despise anything Glee related.  I happen to enjoy the series and although, I’m not really into covers, but for some reason, “Glee” is one of those rare exception where I don’t mind as much.  And also, I’ve enjoyed every album and EP release since.

If you are a Gleek, definitely give “Glee: The Music – Journey to Regionals” a try!
