The following photo is among one of the many Laurel & Hardy photos that I have in my collection. I enjoy the photo because Oliver is surrounded by two women who look at him with happiness while Laurel gets the short end of the stick.
Both Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy have done a few sailor films in 1927 but I’m not quite sure if that is when this photo was taken. I know that some owners of the reproductions have sepia photographs. Mine is grayscale. If anyone has any details on this photo, please let me know.
UPDATE: I received the information from Colby about this photo. “Men O’War” (1929), a Laurel and Hardy two-reel short from the Hal Roach Studios. The brunette is Anne Cornwall and the blond is Gloria Greer.
