“For fans of Britney Spears club music, there is no doubt that her remix albums are well done.  So far, the last two remixes from her album ‘CIRCUS’ have been wonderful.  The same goes with this third remix release for ‘If U Seek Amy’.  If you are looking for quality remixes, you can never go wrong with a Britney Spears remix E.P.  ‘If U Seek Amy Remixes’ is definitely worth checking out!”

Addictive, cool beats and top notch remix collaborations, Britney Spears remix tracks are the de facto creme de la creme of club music tracks worldwide.

For those who go to a club, Britney Spears remixes are always part of the rotation and it’s no surprise.  With each of these remix EP’s, you’re treated with remixes from the best talent out there and her third remix for the track “If U Seek Amy” (from her album “CIRCUS”) is another solid release.

The first “If U Seek Amy” remix is courtesy of Crookers, the Progressive and Electro House unit which consists of Italian DJ duo DJ Bot and DJ Phra.  These two have done fantastic remixes for Kid Cudi, U2 and Moby and have their first collaboration with Britney Spears.   Overall, a pretty awesome house track sporting cool grooves and cool beat.  A solid club track!

The second remix is courtesy of Mike Rizzo with his “Funk Generation Club Mix”.  A well-known New York-based DJ, producer and remixer, Rizzo has created solid hits that continually appear on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play and Hot Dance Airplay charts.  Featured on several trance compilation albums, Rizzo gives us a constant upbeat tempo. Nothing too quick but carefully balancing Spear’s vocals along with the beats.

The third remix is by Weird Tapes. Weird Tapes is a side project from one of the guys from Hail Social and suffice to say, not much is known about them personally but their music has been quickly gaining recognition on blogs and social media sites.  The surprising track on the album because Weird Tapes is not commercially known but someone at Jive must be doing their research because this collaboration is quite exciting as Weird Tapes is known for music that goes into Disco, Ambient, Synthpop, Breakbeat, you name it, Weird Tapes has done it.  Overall, a solid and addictive remix and interesting to the twists of “fuck me” repeatedly used on the track.

The fourth remix is by world renown New York-based DJ, remixer and producer Junior Vasquez.  Vasquez has been a staple for Britney Spears remix EP’s and lends his talent once again for a “Big Room Mix”.  The longest remix on the EP at over nine minutes, Vasquez remix is an energetic, fast-paced remix definitely geared for the club environment.  Another solid Britney Spears remix!

The fifth remix is by Vancouver-based DJ U-Tern who is known for his hip hop remix collaborations but for this track, U-Tern gives an 80’s synth pop style of feel to the music.  I’ve been checking out U-Tern’s remixes lately and the guy really produces solid remixes and of all the remixes on the album that sounded so different from the other tracks would be this.   I grew up with this music, so I dug the track because it utilized the classic groove.

The final remix is courtesy of New Yorker DJ Doug Grayson who did an awesome remix for Britney’s “Gimme More” and “Break the Ice”.  This remix has a steady, constant bass beat and overall, solid track.

Another solid Britney Spears remix release.  Each track has it’s own identity and good thing is that all tracks are very much different from each other and they are all well-done.

As expected with remix tracks by Junior Vasquez, this remix album had some surprises with the collaboration with Weird Tapes who really brought a pretty awesome musical twist to “If U Seek Amy”, as did U-Tern with his 80’s groove.  But for those wanting higher energy remixes, you also have the cool Crookers, Mike Rizzo and Grayson remixes as well.

As for my personal favorite, the track that has received the most play is the Crookers Remix of “If U Seek Amy” because of its energy and cool remix.  But each track is quite enjoyable and there weren’t any track(s) that I disliked.

Overall, another fresh remix release for Britney Spears and definitely an EP worth checking out!
