As previously announced, “The View” creator/executive producer and co-host Barbara Walters is confirmed to make a brief appearance, live, via Skype©, exclusively on “The View” MONDAY, JULY 12, (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET), in what will be Ms. Walters’ first nationally televised appearance since undergoing heart valve replacement surgery in May. The announcement was made earlier today by Bill Geddie, executive producer, “The View.”
First time celebrity guest co-hosts include Clay Aiken, TUESDAY, JULY 13, and Sam Champion (“Good Morning America”), THURSDAY, JULY 15, respectively. Political commentator/talk show host Laura Ingraham returns to co-host, WEDNESDAY, JULY 14 and television personality/radio host Steven A. Smith returns to co-host, live, THURSDAY, JULY 15.
“‘The View’: Special Edition” – a one-hour theme show on dieting airs FRIDAY, JULY 16 featuring guests include Helen Phillips and Michael Ventrella (“The Biggest Loser”), cleansing, the pros/cons of the lap band and some top workout videos.
Scheduled guests for the week of July 12-16 are as follows (subject to change):
MONDAY, JULY 12 – Barbara Walters makes her first nationally televised appearance since undergoing heart valve replacement surgery today, via Skype®; Angie Harmon (“Rizzoli & Isles”); first time guest appearance/performance from “American Idol” winner Lee Dewyze.
TUESDAY, JULY 13 – Clay Aiken (“American Idol”) makes his first appearance as guest co-host; rocker/author/reality show star Bret Michaels serenades the hosts with a song; “Hungry Girl” Lisa Lillien.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 14 – Political commentator/talk show host Laura Ingraham returns to co-host; James Brolin (“Standing Ovation”).
THURSDAY, JULY 15 – First time guest co-host Sam Champion (“Good Morning America”); television personality/radio show host Steven A. Smith returns to co-host; Jennifer Love Hewitt (“The Client List”); first time guest appearance from Joseph Gordon Levitt (“Inception”).
FRIDAY, JULY 16 – “‘The View’: Special Edition” – theme show on dieting; guests include Helen Phillips and Michael Ventrella (“The Biggest Loser”), cleansing, pros/cons of the lap band and the top workout videos.
