The BBC is reporting that Amy Winehouse has been found dead inside her North London home. The cause of death is unknown.
Meanwhile, her U.S. label has released the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of such a gifted musician, artist and performer. Our prayers go out to Amy’s family, friends and fans at this difficult time.”
Winehouse’s final public performance was at the iTunes Festival where she appeared onstage with her protégé Dionne Bromfield to promote her new album.
