ABC’S “THE REVOLUTION” SAYS “GOODBYE FAT!,” APRIL 2-6, 2012

Four Dedicated Nurses from Cooper University Hospital Are the Featured Story of the Week 
And Pose the “Cooper Challenge” — to Lose 3,000 Pounds — to Their Hospital Colleagues
Are the people or the things in your life making you fat? Say “Goodbye Fat!” on ABC Daytime’s one-hour daily talk show, “The Revolution,” APRIL 2-6. The show will focus on all aspects of life throughout the week with helpful advice to cut the fat, including easy-to-apply tips for your home and workplace, plus a look at whether you or your loved ones are making you fat.
On WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, the complete five-month “Revolution” journey of four nursing professionals from Cherry Hill, NJ’s Cooper University Hospital will unfold as “The Revolution” addresses a common issue among healthcare professionals. Additionally, the results of the “Cooper Challenge” will be revealed when Ty Pennington joins the staff at the hospital. Will nurses’ colleagues meet the challenge to lose a total of 3,000 lbs?

MONDAY, APRIL 2 – Is your house making you fat? Barbara Corcoran (ABC’s ‘”Shark Tank”) with 10 tips to slim down your house and hosts her own mini “Shark Tank”; Sarah Toland (Men’s Journal) with guys’ food women should avoid and guys’ food women should enjoy; “New Things to Know,” featuring Dr. Jen and Ty with tips to prolong commonly used items.
TUESDAY, APRIL 3 – Is your job making you fat? Harley demonstrates a lunchtime workout with NBA trainer Idan Ravin; Lucy Danziger (Self Magazine) with healthy office snacks; chef Devin Alexander (“The Decadent Diet”) shares healthy lunchtime alternatives; Paris Lia (Scrubs Magazine) on using food to enhance skin and hair; Tim is joined by fashion and style expert Lilliana Vazquez (“The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style”) to help the audience with quick fashion fixes.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4 – Cooper University Hospital nurses’ “Revolution” journey and reveal; the “Cooper Challenge.”
THURSDAY, APRIL 5 – Are you making you fat? “Timtervention” makeovers; interventionist and author Brad Lamm (JUST 10 LBS) returns with tips to combat stress eating.
FRIDAY, APRIL 6 – Are your loved ones making you fat? interventionist and author Brad Lamm (JUST10 LBS) joins Dr. Tiffanie to help encourage and educate women on how to change their body image; Harley with a demonstration of and benefits to working out with a partner; Betty Wong (Fitness Magazine) shares tips to making unhealthy dishes healthier; “Food For Thought” with Ty and Dr. Jen.
About the Cooper University Hospital Nurses and the Cooper Challenge:
The nurses from Cherry Hill, NJ’s Cooper University Hospital are disciplined and dedicated professionals when it comes to caring for patients and their families. These strong women, however, have developed poor habits and neglect their own health, including using food to cope with stress, which is a common occurrence in the high pressure healthcare profession. Four nurses from the hospital were selected for a “Revolution” journey with the goal of creating their own healthier lifestyle
habits. Christina Fox, a Trauma Nurse in the ICU, not only saves lives at work but runs a house with two children under the age of seven. As a result of her nonstop schedule, Christina has a difficult time maintaining a balanced diet and needs a fresh start. Stephanie Jennings, a Senior Nurse in the Oncology Unit, is ready to become a positive example for her overweight husband and act as a role model for her daughter. Newlywed Delia Larson, a Labor and Delivery Nurse, is in need of a lifestyle change prior to having kids of her own. She is a motivated to tackle the hardships at hand and get her diet back on track. Single mother and full-time ICU Nurse Ebony Marinnie recently left a tumultuous relationship and is ready to regain her confidence with healthier choices. Two months into their journey, nurses and hospital workers began to see the positive changes in the four participating nurses and sought inspiration to make their own changes. The four nurses challenged the hospital to lose 3,000 lbs. during the remaining three months of their “Revolution.” Ty Pennington agreed to help motivate them for their “Cooper Challenge.”
