“Grey’s Anatomy” Star Sara Ramirez’s Version of “Silent Night” Available Online
The ABC Music Lounge on ABC.com brings music fans a newly transformed site beginning Tuesday, December 8, with the launch of “Winter Wonder Lounge” in celebration of this holiday season. A holiday playlist will be available that will include traditional classics performed by artists such as Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, as well as new version of Christmas classics and also original songs by artists like Death Cab for Cutie, Snow Patrol, Fiona Apple and many more.
Also available on Tuesday for free download will be the original song “Jingle Jang and Jive” from “Disney Prep & Landing,” by composer Michael Giacchino (“Lost”). The song will be available for free download in the ABC Music Lounge at www.abcmusiclounge.com starting Monday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m., ET/4:00 p.m. PT, until Friday, December 11 at midnight, ET/9:00 p.m., PT.
In addition to a playlist of holiday hits will be Sara Ramirez’s (“Grey’s Anatomy”) version of “Silent Night,” which will be available for streaming on Tuesday, December 8. The television actress, best known for her role as Callie Torres on the medical drama, is also a talented singer who rose to fame after her performance in Monty Python’s “Spamalot” in 2005, which garnered her a Tony award.
ABC Music Lounge, which launched in May 2009 on ABC.com, provides users with an interactive online music experience that is uniquely ABC. Reflective of the network’s commitment to using digital platforms to deepen its relationship with viewers, the ABC Music Lounge showcases everything about the music and artists featured on ABC’s popular primetime schedule, offering a deep catalog of music-related content. The site features a streaming radio station programmed with over 12 hours of music featured on such ABC series as “Brothers & Sisters,” “Castle,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Private Practice,” “Scrubs” and “Ugly Betty,” among others.
