From 2001-2009, the History Channel has aired several episodes celebrating the anniversaries of Pearl Harbor and in 2016, to celebrate the 75th anniversary, Lions Gate will be releasing a DVD titled “The Presidents Collection”75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor” featuring six episodes (on two DVD’s) that have aired on the History Channel from 2001-2009.

The series features the following episodes:

  • Live from Pearl Harbor – The remembrance of Pearl Harbor (aired back in December 7, 2001). Hosted by Josh Binswanger & Joan Lunden, this special features highlights from the 2001 event (60th anniversary) and featuring interviews with survivors and showcasing ceremonies at Pearl Habor and at the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans.
  • Unsung Heroes of Pearl Harbor – A documentary which goes into the detail of the attack on Pearl Harbor as told by WWII historians, the survivors that were stuck inside ships that were attacked and the unsung heroes of Pearl Harbor.
  • Pearl Harbor – A documentary about the bombing of Pearl Harbor but what is the technology behind the bombing of Pearl Harbor utilized by the Japanese?  And how the U.S. utilized the technology (from the captured submarine) that is used today.
  • Pearl Harbor: What Went Down – Pearl Harbor historian Dr. Don Goldstein, Ph.D (co-author of “At Dawn We Slept”) and survivors discuss the bombing at Pearl Harbor and an examination of how one bomb sunk the USS Arizona.  Goldstein hires a production team to bring the bombing to life of what really happened and telling how the attack happened then and to present it via CG.
  • Japanese Sub at Pearl Harbor – Near the entrance to Pearl Harbor, an American dive team goes searching for a Japanese submarine that sunk and to prove that America saw the Japanese submarine an hour before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.
  • The Other Tragedy at Pearl Harbor – In 1944, a second deadly disaster (known as the West Loch Disaster) in Pearl Harbor took place and why was it shrouded in secrecy for so many years?  Four WWII veterans revisit the location of the LST-480 for the first time since they were teenagers.
