“Undercover Boss” Posts Across-the-Board Growth From Premiere Week
CBS Posts Huge Year-to-Year Increases from Same Night Last Year
CSI: MIAMI had a sunny Sunday premiere, placing first among entertainment programs in viewers and key demographics and significantly boosting the time period while UNDERCOVER BOSS posted across-the-board growth from premiere week, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 3.
At 7:00 PM, 60 MINUTES was second behind FOX’s football in households (7.9/14) and viewers (12.48m); the broadcast tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.0/08, with NBC) and averaged a 2.1/06 in adults 18-49.
THE AMAZING RACE 17 was second in households (6.3/10), viewers (10.73m) and adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and averaged a 3.3/09 in adults 18-49.
At 9:00 PM, UNDERCOVER BOSS was second in viewers (13.08m) and adults 25-54 (5.1/11) and averaged a 4.0/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to week’s season premiere, UNDERCOVER BOSS was up +7% in households (from 7.0/12), +9% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/12), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/10) and added +1.54m viewers (from 11.54m, +13%). UNDERCOVER BOSS topped “Desperate Housewives” in both viewers and adults 25-54.
At 10:00 PM, CSI MIAMI (P) was second to football in households (7.3/12), viewers (11.84m), adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and adults 18-49 (3.2/08). Â Compared to the year-ago time period (“Cold Case”), CSI: MIAMI was up +32% in adults 25-54 (from 3.1/07), +45% in adults 18-49 (from 2.2/06) and +18% in viewers (from 10.06m). Â CSI: MIAMI topped “Brothers and Sisters” in these measures.
For the night, CBS was second in households (7.3/12) and viewers (12.03m),  averaging a 4.1/10 in adults 25-54 and 3.2/08 in adults 18-49. Compared to the same night last year, CBS was up +14% in viewers, +39% in adults 18-49 and +32% in adults 25-54.
