Magnolia Pictures will release the celebrated audacious Swedish comedy SOUND OF NOISE, about a group of “musical anarchists” who orchestrate a series of musical attacks on a city, and the tone-deaf cop who hates music hot on their trail. The film opens in Los Angeles on March 9 at The Cinefamily at the Silent Movie Theatre for an exclusive one-week engagement.

When a group of “musical anarchists” attack the city using only found objects as their instruments, seemingly nothing can stop them as they revel in the music they compose and the chaos they create. Unconcerned with being caught, the groups’ antics draw the attention of the city’s top anti-terrorism cop, Amadeus Warnebring.  The only member of a prestigious family of famous musicians without any musical talent and disgruntled by a lifetime of feeling inferior, Amadeus channels his hate for music and noise into an unrelenting pursuit of the criminals. With the entire city watching, both sides refuse to quit until their pursuits reach an inescapable crescendo of noise.
