I have to admit that I never expected anime voice actress Minami Takayama (Nabiki of “Ranma 1/2″, Conan of “Meitantei Conan”, Kiki/Ursula of “Kiki’s Delivery Service) to become a full-fledged music artist outside of the anime/seiyuu realm. But she proved to us that she has a career outside of anime voice acting as one part of the music group TWO-MIX alongside musician Shiina Nagano.

The duo have blasted into the music scene with two huge pop hits “Just Communication” and “Rhythm Emotion” which are the theme for the popular “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing” anime series.

And with the release of those two singles, the group have released their first remix album titled “TWO (RE)MIX” featuring two remix versions of “Rhythm Emotion” and two remix versions of “Just Communication” (plus the instrumental of both songs).

For the “Second Variation” remixes, they are consistent with the upbeat, electronic pop music that the group is known for. While the “Melody Box” versions of the two songs. For those who are into music box instrumentals, you will be sure to dig this remix album.

The CD insert features the lyrics for both songs and an insert promoting TWO-MIX.

Overall, it’s an OK remix album that is probably going to attract diehard fans who love TWO-MIX and want remix tracks for both songs especially if you want to sing karaoke for both “Rhythm Emotion” and “Just Communication”.
