I have to admit that I have recently joined the Taylor Swift bandwagon after listening to her album “FEARLESS”. I was very impressed by her beautiful vocals, the fact that she writes her own music and she is also a musician.
So, when her 2007 Target-exclusive holiday E.P. “The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection” was finally released on digital online music stores on December 2nd, I have had this E.P. on rotation and continue to listen to it heavily.
The first track “Last Christmas” features a cover of the popular holiday song sung by “Wham”. The song has been covered by so many artists and some are good and some are just bad. Fortunately, Taylor Swift’s version is on the good side and a nice blend of her country music style with the addition of strings and bells.
The second track “Christmases When You Were Mine” is an original song on the album and I love this track. The song is a sad track about not being with that special someone any longer for Christmas. A beautiful track that is my favorite on the E.P.
The third track “Santa Baby” is always a fun track to listen to and to hear Taylor Swift singing this song is quite fun and enjoyable. A track that has more of a country-driven musical style. All in all, a fun, enjoyable and catchy track!
The fourth track “Silent Night” is a beautiful track that has an arrangement slightly different from what most people know the song. But done very well. Beautiful!
The fifth track “Christmas Must Be Something More” features an original song written by Swift. Another well-written and well-sung track by Taylor.
The sixth and final track is “White Christmas” which is an acoustic guitar driven track. Another cool holiday Swift song to end the E.P.

Overall, this is a fantastic Taylor Swift holiday album. I only wished it was a full-length album because I was definitely craving for more.
As a young artist who is multi-talented, it’s great to have the opportunity to enjoy her album “FEARLESS” and her holiday collection released digitally for the holidays. Even though this came out last year, for many of us who didn’t purchase the CD when it was released in Target, it’s just great to have this available now digitally.
For those wondering about this album, all six tracks are just wonderful. My personal favorite is “Christmases When You Were Mine” and “Santa Baby” but overall, all tracks on the album were pretty good.
All in all, a cool holiday E.P. and another Taylor Swift album that I can’t get enough of.
