SATOMI’ is one of the few Japanese artists to have a career in Japan but also outside of the country. In fact, before Satomi was signed to Japan’s Aozora Records, she was releasing music in the UK under the hiptones music label.
With a career that started back in 2005, SATOMI’ has released her seventh single in Japan titled “Bright Will”.
The single kicks off with “Bright will” and is a beautiful J-Pop ballad that begins with piano and transitions to a mid-tempo ballad. Overall, a well-done ballad and well-sung! The coupling track “I still like you” is a mid-tempo ballad where “Bright Will” is more guitars and percussion, “I still like you” is a pop ballad with cool beats, so a much different ballad but still well-done. And the third and final track is “Mr. Fool”, the sole upbeat R&B pop track. Dig the beats and a pretty cool track.
CD insert is a standard bi-fold which features the lyrics for the three vocal tracks.
Overall, SATOMI’ “Bright Will” is another solid offering from the pop artist. All three songs are pretty good with the two vocals being the standouts of this single but nevertheless, a solid release!
