Miura Daichi has come a long way since he debuted at the age of 8 with the Okinawa-based dance group known as FOLDER back in 1997. Known for a young kid belting out pop tunes, the young kid has now entered his 20s and the solo artist inspired by the likes of Justin Timberlake and USHER is back with his sixth CD single “Inside Your Head”.
The CD single features only two tracks. The first “Inside Your Head” is a very cool pop song written and produced by Nao’ymt. Again, similar to the likes of a Justin Timberlake and USHER song, this song is definitely a track that showcases Miura’s vocals and of course another outlet for the young singer to show off his cool choreography skills.
I definitely felt there has been a major improvement since his last CD single “FLAG” (rel. July 2007) and the vocals and overall groove worked out right!
The second track “Magic” is a song written by Miura and also music and production by Miura and UTA. Another catchy R&B pop song that starts off with a few whistles, acoustic guitar and clapping percussion. An all out cool, overall groove. There are some challenges during high points of the songs with Miura’s vocal but overall, cool groove and cool song.
The DVD features two tracks. The first track is the music video for “Inside Your Head” featuring Miura performing and dancing with his group and showcasing their choreography. The choreography for this music video was created by Miura.
The second track is a bonus video featuring strictly the choreography from the music video and commentary by Miura and a few of his dancers (this can be switched on or off).
The CD insert is a bifold that features lyrics and production credits and a photo of Miura and the other side are more photos of Miura.

Overall a big improvement from his last CD single release “FLAG” from last summer. Everything went very well in terms of the vocals and the music and the collaboration between Miura Daichi and Nao’ymt was solid.
The CD single was pretty good with a few vocal flaws during the high parts but all in all, vocals and overall groove made the song catchy.
Surprised that there are no instrumentals accompanying the CD single and the DVD is very cool especially for those who want to know the dance moves.
All in all, a solid CD single by Miura Daichi and look forward to the next release.
