I can easily remember Maki Goto when she first appeared on a Japanese variety show called ASAYAN and her audition to become the next member of female idol group Morning Musume.  This was back in the late 90′s and she quickly became a popular member.

She had quite a bit of spunk with her blonde hair and was on the group’s “Love Machine” music video.  But what was more shocking about Maki was to find out that she was only 14 at the time.  Even surprising SMAP’s Takuya Kimura during the group’s appearance on the variety show “SMAPxSMAP” and needless to say, it was quite evident that when Maki grew older, there would be no surprise that she’s going to grow up to a beautiful woman.

In 2006, at the age of 21, no longer a member of Morning Musume but now a solo artist, Maki Goto showed off a sensual side of her through the CD single “SOME BOYS! TOUCH”.

This CD single was released a year before her transfer to AVEX’s RhythmZone and when she was still part of UP-FRONT WORKS label PICCOLO TOWN and was produced by Tsunku.

“SOME BOYS! TOUCH”, Goto’s 16th CD single features an breathy upbeat pop track which was more to show her sexier side but the true winner on this CD Single is the coupling track titled “ALL OF US” which was used as an ending theme for the anime “Ginga Tetsudou Monogatari ~Eien e no Bunkiten~”.  What’s more impressive of this track is that it showcases Goto’s angelic vocals and also a beautiful musical arrangement.  The third track on the CD Single features the instrumental version of “SOME BOYS! TOUCH”.

As for the CD insert booklet, inside are photos of Maki and the lyrics to both songs.

Overall, if you are a big fan of Maki Goto, “SOME BOYS! TOUCH” is a decent single.  Personally, I felt the coupling song was much more enjoyable than the main track but for the most part, if you are a fan of Maki, you definitely will want to pick up the DVD featuring the sexy music video for the “SOME BOYS! TOUCH”.
