For Cutting Edge artist lecca, known for her upbeat Japanese reggae dance tracks, her second single “My Measure” heads to a more pop route and it makes you wonder if the artist is leaning more towards a more pop sound. Her latest three track single features songs written by lecca and collaborations with Tatsuyuki Okawa and Don Corleon.

“My Measure” is an upbeat pop track, but where you see lecca really shine is during the usual bridge but instead of an instrumental, we get to see lecca’s lyrical speed and she sings very quickly, fiercely and it’s a style that is known with her music.

The second track “百姫夜行” (100 Night Princess) features a collaboration with lecca and popular Jamaican producer Don Corleon. The track is awesome! Cool beats and lecca just tears the song up. Quick, in-you-face vocals and an all-out awesome track.

The final track on the single is “somebody else’s guy”, an upbeat ballad with a cool beat and slower tempo than the previous two tracks.

CD insert features a two-pager with lyrics and also includes a release info. insert and mobile insert for lecca’s fanfun.

Overall, “My measure” is a pretty cool single but the collaboration between lecca and Donovan “Don Corleon” Bennett works like magic and I hope these two continue to collaborate because the musical chemistry is right and he really brings out her vocals to an all new level.
