When the “LoveGame (Robots to Mars Remix)” was released over a month ago, I was instantly gushing with this latest remix.
If there is one thing that I truly love about LADY GAGA’s music is that her original music is solid but the various remix interpretations of her songs have been solid and addictive.
For those not familiar with LADY GAGA, the stage name belongs to Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, a singer/songwriter from New York who wrote music for a variety of artists such as Fergie, Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears and the New Kids on the Block.
Despite being in the music industry for several years, it was not until she worked with singer/producer Akon and from that moment on, LADY GAGA’s career skyrocketed.
With the release of her 2008 album “The Fame” (which continues to stay strong on the Billboard top 10 for the Hot 200 Album Charts), the song has produced solid singles such as “Just Dance” and “Poker Face”.
“LoveGame” is the fourth CD single from “The Fame” and is produced by RedOne (who produced “Just Dance” and “Poker Face”).
LADY GAGA has said in several interviews that the main hook of the song “I wanna take a ride on your disco stick” is a song about being at a club and having a sexual crush on someone and telling him “I wanna ride on your disco stick”, ala her penis metaphor.
The song is just addictive with constant hooks with its catchy lyrics:
“Let’s have some fun, this beat is sick, I wanna take a ride on your disco stick”
And no matter if you listen to the original version of the song or different incarnations, the song still remains addictive.
The first track of “LoveGame” features a Dave Aude Radio Edit that features an upbeat, high tempo track that is a sweet club track from the popular house DJ, remixer and producer that inspires one to dance their ass off.
The second track is a Space Cowboy Remix. Nick Dresti’s remix of “LoveGame” takes her hook and gives us a synth, experimental electronic track that is just imaginative and just brilliant.
The third track is the Robots to Mars Remix which I have had on my playlist since its release and have not grown tired of it. A solid remix with an addictive groove.
Overall, “LoveGame The Remixes” is a solid digital single release that LADY GAGA fans will definitely enjoy. Addictive and overall, just enjoyable, magnificent remixes worth checking out!
