The latest holiday themed single from BoA titled “Mamoritai ~White Wishes~”. The single marks her 29th CD single and was used for the video game “Tales of Graces” for the Nintendo Wii.
Considering that BoA is one of the most busiest artists on the planet, juggling a music career in Japan, Korea and the USA, one can’t help but wonder if she can maintain her music, which I have felt has been getting better since she released her first US single and seeing a more vibrant, dance/pop BoA that many have missed from the artist.
“Mamoritai ~White Wishes!” is not the typical Winter ballad that the artist is known for, but features an upbeat, catchy single featuring lyrics by MIZUE and music by Hiroo Yamaguchi and an arrangement by JUNKOO.
The coupling track “THE END Soshite and…” features a smooth, slower tempo ballad featuring lyrics and music by BoA and an arrangement by Gakushi. Overall, it’s great to see a song written and created by BoA on the single and showcasing the talents of this artist.
Overall, a good CD single that is available as standalone or CD+DVD. Insert features lyrics and production credits.
