From time to time you will find a pachinko video game for the PS2 break into the top 10. In the past year, the majority have been Evangelion or Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) related.
But interesting enough, “Yon-sama Mania” continues with a pachinko video game based on the popular Korean drama “Winter Sonata”.
According to a Wai Wai report, Bae Young Jun receives about 100 million yen for Winter Sonata’s name used on pachinkos. Goes to show that 2-3 years since the drama aired in Japan, “Yon-sama” continues to stay strong.
