[J-ENT] Konami cancels “Metal Gear Solid 4″ events after Akihabara murders

Mainichi Daily News reported, “Game maker Konami Digital Entertainment announced Wednesday that it canceled three release events scheduled in Tokyo for new software for a PlayStation 3 game with violent content in consideration of Sunday’s Akihabara stabbing rampage.”
“Konami canceled the events marking the launch of the action game “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots” — scheduled in Akihabara, Yurakucho and Shinjuku on Thursday — in consideration of the “safety of large crowds.”
