Since reviewing the Shinkai Makoto film “5 CENTIMETERS PER SECOND”, the film has really left a long impression within me. Of course, for many people, there has been that time where one has liked/loved someone but things worked out much differently than expected.
But if anything, may it be a Japanese drama or an anime, there have been only a few instances where a song really makes a deep impact and just tugs in your heart and just realizing how awesome the song is and how it really made the moment of that series or film.
I remember hearing “True Love” and how the song was used in the drama “Asunaro Hakusho” or even “Love Story wa Totsuzen ni” for Tokyo Love Story and most recently “One More Time, One More Chance” by Yamazaki Masayoshi.

Fumiya Fujii goes upbeat, smooth rock for his second single but also includes the acoustic version of his hit song “True Love”. Overall, a solid second single for Fujii!

Singer/songwriter Fumiya Fujii (alongside brother Naoyuki Fujii) were members of the popular ’80s band The Checkers and his debut single “True Love” was on top of the charts and used for the immensely popular drama series “Asunaro Hakusho”.
Now Fumiya is back with his second single “Eros” and a single that also includes an acoustic version of his hit “True Love”.
“Eros” features a smooth upbeat rock track which is trademark Fumiya Fujii with his style of vocals. A cool single but I have no doubt that fans will pick this single up for its coupling track “TRUE LOVE (Acoustic Version)”. As we have seen on television, this song has become such a popular hit that its being used at weddings and people trying to learn the guitar and play the song for their girlfriends. It’s turning out to be the ultimate love song in Japan and have no doubt that this single is going to be popular decades later.
The single concludes with the karaoke version of “Eros”.
Overall, a solid single and definitely worth picking up if you are a Fumiya Fujii fan!
