AS SEAN’S SEARCH FOR HIS SOUL MATE DRAWS TO A CLOSE, HE SWEEPS THE FINAL THREE BACHELORETTES AWAY FOR FANTASY OVERNIGHT DATES IN EXOTIC THAILAND, ON ABC’S “THE BACHELOR”

February 19, 2013 by · Leave a Comment

“Episode 1709″ – Romantic adventures await Sean and the final three women – AshLee, Catherine and Lindsay – as they travel to spectacular Si Kao, Thailand. From an authentic Thai market with unusual foods to a secluded beach surrounded by a rain forest to a sexy afternoon boat ride on Thailand’s sparkling waters, the dates are filled with passion and excitement as Sean continues to explore what his future would be like with each of these potential mates. At the end of the evening Sean will present each bachelorette with an invitation to spend an intimate night together in a “fantasy suite,” with the hope that she will accept. But will she? This week finishes with Sean making his most painful decision yet and leaving one devastated and inconsolable bachelorette not talking to him at all, on “The Bachelor,” MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Sean’s Southeast Asian adventure begins with his whisking Lindsay away to an authentic Thai market – featuring all kinds of strange food, fish and bugs. The couple even share a meal of crickets, but then head to a romantic beach where they can let their feelings show. That night Thai dancers perform especially for them. But will Lindsay finally proclaim her love for the Bachelor? The fantasy suite would be the perfect opportunity for her to open up to Sean — but will she?
AshLee’s dream date will end on a private beach encircled by a rainforest, but to get there, the couple will need to swim through a pitch-black cave. Sean knows this bachelorette has trouble letting go and waits to see how she will react to this type of adventure. However, when he offers up the fantasy suite card, the situation is even more tense. AshLee draws a moral line in the sand. How will Sean receive her declaration?
For his final date, Sean surprises Catherine with an afternoon boat ride through the gleaming waters around Thailand. Catherine tries to reassure Sean that she is ready for a commitment, but her family’s doubts make him question her sincerity. Later that night, the couple imagine what a future life together might look like, but will Catherine take the ultimate leap of faith and accept the chance to stay in the fantasy suite with Sean?
The Bachelor decides to discuss the final three women and his upcoming decision with Chris Harrison. He feels he knows what he must do, but Chris implores him to watch the touching video messages each bachelorette has left him. Will that change his mind? In the most intense rose ceremony yet, Sean sends one woman home in tears, her heart and spirit crushed. She is so upset that she leaves without talking to him. The remaining two women look forward to meeting Sean’s family in Thailand. Sean’s quest for love is drawing to a close, but the question isn’t only whom he will choose, but whether she’ll accept.

Catherine gets the first one-on-one date in Canada, meeting Sean on a remote glacier at Jasper National Park, followed by a fairy tale dinner in a magnificent ice castle. On the group date, Sean implores the seven women to strip down to their bathing suits and take a polar bear plunge in icy cold Lake Louise, but there are a few women who cause problems. The evening ends with Sean supplying an unexpected surprise. Desiree receives a terrifying individual date when the couple needs to rappel 400 feet down a cliff in Banff National Park. Nerves are at an all-time high, and Sean’s feelings are growing for all of the women, but six will remain at the end of the night, on “The Bachelor,” TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

One woman refuses to participate, and yet another does but comes up “blue” and needs medical attention. She still shows up at the after party, but will this damsel in distress win a rose? Or will Sean reward another woman with whom he has forged a romantic connection?
The night isn’t over, and Sean realizes that his relationship with one woman has run its course. Out of compassion, he feels he needs to say good-bye now. Feeling that this is for the best, he tries to let the devastated bachelorette down easy.
The next day, bubbly Desiree can’t wait to get her second one-on-one date with Sean, but she might not feel the same when he takes her on a harrowing rappelling adventure down a terrifying 400-foot cliff. After the challenge, the two share an intimate conversation in a warm teepee hidden in the woods. Will Desiree open up and be more vulnerable with Sean or continue to push him away?

Leslie H. is the Envy of the Other Bachelorettes as She is Treated to a Luxurious Date
Complete with a Private Concert from Popular Singing Artist Ben Taylor

“Episode 1704″ – A challenging week is ahead for the 13 remaining bachelorettes as Selma learns that what she thought was an opulent date will actually be a rock climbing adventure. Eight women join Sean for a rock’em sock’em roller derby match, which ends with a trip to the hospital. Leslie H. is the stunning bachelorette that Sean surprises with a Rodeo Drive shopping spree ˆ la “Pretty Woman,” and an elegant romantic date that ends with the couple being treated to a VIP private concert from folk-rock-pop artist Ben Taylor. But the controversy continues to swirl around one disruptive woman even as the others try to deepen their connection with Sean, on “The Bachelor,” MONDAY, JANUARY 28 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Selma is enthralled with her one-on-one date with Sean as the day begins with a limousine ride and a private jet. But then she discovers that the Bachelor has something entirely different on his mind. Their destination is the desert landscape of the Joshua Tree National Park in Twenty-nine Palms, California. Sean decides to put Selma to the test with a daring rock climbing escapade. Later the couple has dinner under the stars at a hipster-chic trailer park where the table is set for romance. But his beautiful date is having reservations about getting intimate with Sean. How will that affect her chances of capturing a rose?

A SCORCHING KISS, A BAD TUMBLE DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS AND A HEARTFELT DATE MARK SEAN’S CONTINUING JOURNEY TO FIND LOVE, EVEN AS HE DROPS A BOMBSHELL, ON ABC’S “THE BACHELOR
One Lucky Lady and Two Very Appreciative Girls Get the VIP Treatment From Sean at an Amusement Park Where Eli Young Band Performs a Private Concert

“Episode 1703″ – A potential record-breaking date for the world’s longest on-screen kiss gets Lesley M.’s heart all aflutter, while the claws come out at a very competitive volleyball group date that reveals some of the women’s true colors. Sean’s magical date with AshLee at an amusement park is shared with two girls who suffer from a chronic illness. The Bachelor has one more surprise for his date and the girls: a private concert by his favorite country group, Eli Young Band. However in the middle of this, one bachelorette takes a nasty fall down the mansion stairs – or is it just her way of getting Sean’s attention? Finally, Sean stirs up a shocking finish to the night right before the rose ceremony, on “The Bachelor,” MONDAY, JANUARY 21 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Lesley M. is on cloud nine when she get this week’s first one-on-one date with Sean, but she is stunned when the Bachelor shares with her that their date could go down in the Guinness World Records for longest on-screen kiss. The current record now stands at three minutes and 15 seconds. Will their passion be cemented in the history books? And will it be enough to secure Lesley M. a rose?

Sean surprises a group of women with what first seems like a delightful outing on a sun splashed California beach. It’s sexy fun in the sand until Chris Harrison reveals that they will divide up in teams and compete in a game of beach volleyball. The winning team spends the evening with Sean, while the losing team gets to spend the evening alone at the mansion. The competition is hot and heavy. At the after party, the battle continues for the date rose. Sean sees a different side of one woman when she uses her time to try and sabotage his relationship with two other bachelorettes. Will her scheme pay off?

The next day, as AshLee eagerly anticipates her individual date with Sean, another bachelorette takes a tumble down the stairs at the mansion. However, the women immediately become suspicious when the woman refuses medical help. Is it a ploy to get Sean’s attention? One thing is sure: AshLee is fuming that her date is getting cut short. When the couple finally heads to Six Flags Magic Mountain, where they have the park all to themselves, Sean reveals that he has offered to share the date with two young women who suffer from a chronic illness – Emily and Brianna from the Starlight Foundation’s Starbright World program, who are meeting for the first time. After the day of fun in the park, Sean has another surprise: a private concert by his favorite country group, Eli Young Band.

At the cocktail party, Sean makes one woman cry – but are they tears of joy or sorrow? And another bachelorette tries to do some damage control to keep a continuing relationship with the Bachelor. But one woman sets off a firestorm as she tries to steal extra time with Sean. A startling end to the evening lies ahead as Sean provides major fireworks before the rose ceremony. In the end, 13 bachelorettes remain to continue on the journey to become Sean’s soul mate and, hopefully, future wife.

The 16 women are:
Amanda, 26, fit model, Newport Beach, CA
AshLee, 32, personal organizer, Houston, TX

SEAN LOWE STARTS HIS SEARCH FOR LOVE ON ABC’S HIT ROMANCE REALITY SERIES, “THE BACHELOR,” PREMIERING MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2013 ON ABC

Sean Shakes Things Up, Deciding Who Will Get Roses and When,
Resulting in a Most Unconventional Evening;
Plus, a Mystery Bachelorette Stirs Things Up and Arie Lukendyk, Jr. Arrives to Offer His Help

This Season’s Highlights Include Private Concerts by Chart-Topping Country Music Group
Eli Young Band, Country Pop Artist Sarah Darling and Folk-Pop-Rock Singer Ben Taylor; Romantic Excursions to Whitefish, Montana; Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada, plus a Spectacular Trip to Thailand for the Seductive Overnight Dates and the Emotional Finale

Bachelor Nation was shocked when fan favorite Sean Lowe was left heartbroken on a beach in Curaao earlier this year. Deeply in love, the handsome and sincere Texan envisioned starting a family with Emily Maynard. But in what became one of the most shocking moments of the season, Emily blindsided Sean, rejecting him and sending his heartfelt dreams crashing down around him. He was devastated and alone then, but he has not given up on love. Sean is back as the Bachelor and ready to risk it all again for another chance at love. He begins the search for his soul mate, choosing from among 26 beautiful bachelorettes, when the 17th edition of “The Bachelor” premieres MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2013 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) , on ABC.

In “Episode 1701,” Sean kicks off his journey – not by meeting beautiful bachelorettes, but by meeting with a friend — someone who was also left heartbroken by Emily — Arie Lukendyk, Jr. The handsome race driver offers his support as well as some hilarious, if questionable advice.
Arriving at the mansion for the first cocktail party, Sean is nervous, but seeing how excited the women are to meet him calms him down. These amazing women all make unique and lasting impressions, including a beautiful make-up artist who marks her territory with a kiss on Sean’s cheek. A gorgeous engineer back flips out of the limousine – only to fall, unceremoniously, on her behind. A lovely cruise ship singer serenades Sean with an original song about their future love.
A sexy hairdresser shocks Sean when she admits she’s obsessed with the book Fifty Shades of Grey. A beauty dressed as a blushing bride steals the first real kiss of the night. However, Sean is so taken with one voluptuous woman, he decides to break the rules and offers her the first rose, to the dismay of the rest of the shocked and jealous women. But the last limo holds a real surprise: One additional guest shows up and changes the game. The competition shifts into high gear.
The women are confused and concerned when Sean gives another early rose to an enchanting wedding gown designer. When yet another bachelorette returns with a rose, the others realize that all the rules are out the window; if Sean feels a connection with one of them, she will get a rose right then and there. However not all the women are lucky enough to receive an early rose, and they wonder how best to impress him. One vulnerable woman reaches out to the Bachelor with honesty and sincerity. Another comes on strong, while still another repeatedly tries to steal his attention. Twelve women head into the rose ceremony with roses safely in hand. Sean, acknowledging how difficult it is to send seven more home, selects seven additional bachelorettes at the rose ceremony. Nineteen women will continue on with him in the search to find love.
A list of the bachelorettes will be released shortly.

Romantic and adventurous dates will reach new heights this season, testing the ladies’ perseverance in pursuing their romantic objective, along with fun, exciting and exotic dates that will elicit real and raw passions. For the first group date, 13 women compete in a photo shoot, with the winner getting a cover deal for Harlequin romance novels. On a one-on-one date to an art gallery opening with priceless art, Sean plays a huge prank on the woman. One bachelorette’s date with Sean gives them a chance to break a world record for the longest on-screen kiss. The Bachelor gets to see another side of one bachelorette when he takes her on a date to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, and surprises her by sharing the park with two chronically ill teenagers and showcasing a special performance by country music’s Eli Young Band. Sean takes another woman on a private jet ride to Joshua Tree National Park, but will she decide to go on the rock climb? Eight women join Sean for a challenging rock’em sock’em roller derby match. One lucky bachelorette gets a Rodeo Drive shopping spree ˆ la “Pretty Woman,” and the couple is treated to a VIP private concert from folk-rock-pop artist Ben Taylor, the son of legendary folk rock legends James Taylor and Carly Simon. Beautiful Whitefish, Montana is the backdrop for a traditional farm-style relay race, including canoeing, hay bucking and goat milking. A romantic ice castle plays an important part in a sensual individual date in Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada, and country pop singer Sarah Darling serenades Sean and another bachelorette. However, when a group of women take part in a polar bear plunge in an icy cold lake, the medics are kept busy. Finally, after spending passionate weeks traveling to a variety of locations, Sean brings his final three women to Thailand for a dramatic change of scenery for the exotic dates and the finale. Will he miss his chance for a happy ending again?

As in the past, women will continue to be eliminated each week, but if at any point a woman should decide that she’s no longer interested in the Bachelor, she can reject his invitation to continue dating. Some lucky women will meet his family, and he will visit their hometowns for a slice of their lives in an effort to determine the woman with whom he is most compatible.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Martin Hilton are the executive producers. “The Bachelor” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with stereo sound. FAN FAVORITE SEAN LOWE SEARCHES FOR LOVE AGAIN ON ABC’S HIT
ROMANCE REALITY SERIES, “THE BACHELOR,” WHEN IT PREMIERES JANUARY 7, 2013

A heavy sigh went out from millions of viewers as they shared Sean Lowe’s heartbreak when Emily Maynard – who all season long called him the “perfect man” — made him the last bachelor eliminated before the finale of the eighth edition of “The Bachelorette.” It completely blindsided Sean, who finally had been able to admit to Emily that he was in love with her. Now, after falling for Emily, Sean knows the time is right for him to make the ultimate commitment to the right woman and to start his own family, when the 17th edition of ABC’s hit romance reality series, “The Bachelor,” premieres MONDAY, JANUARY 7 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Sean, 28, a successful Dallas businessman and entrepreneur, totally charmed Bachelor Nation when he pranked Emily on his hometown date, fooling her into thinking initially that he still lived at home with his parents. Having fallen in love on “The Bachelorette,” this sincere, reliable all-American guy is confident that he will find his soul mate and a lasting, love-filled relationship this time on “The Bachelor.” A real romantic, he loves to make a woman feel special and, as a life-long Texan, holds Southern values close to his heart. He wants to propose once, be married once and live a faithful family life, like his parents, who have had a loving 35-year union. Sean has a clear vision of what his life would be like with that one special woman: He wants to be the patriarch of a family that is centered on faith, love and laughter. He is eager to be a supportive husband who will encourage his wife to chase her dreams, and to be someone she can rely on to help her through good and bad times. Quite simply, he is looking for his best friend. Sean also wants a big family and would love to adopt a child, as well as have some of his own, as long as he can pass on the values he has taught his kids.

His close-knit family includes a sister, Shay, who was introduced to her husband by Sean. The two men were best friends on their college football team. Shay and her husband have two children, whom Sean adores.

The 6’3″ Sean went to Kansas State on a full football scholarship and, as a linebacker, was part of the 2003 Big 12 Conference Championship Team. He also received a BS in social science. Although he started off his career in finance, he followed in his father’s footsteps in the insurance industry before committing to his new enterprise, owning and running an upscale, custom furniture business.

Sean has varied hobbies and interests, including camping, wakeboarding, dancing, outdoor activities, attending concerts and doing just about anything with his two dogs, Lola and Ellie.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor” is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Martin Hilton are the executive producers.

Serenades Emily and One Lucky Man at Dollywood

Country Music Star Luke Bryan Gives a Special Concert to Emily and Another Rose Contender

“Episode 803″ – Chris’ heart is racing – for more than one reason: Not only does he discover that he has this week’s first one-on-one date with Emily, he’s jolted when he learns that he must attempt to scale a building with her if he’s to spend any quality time with the Bachelorette, and when she surprises him with a performance by country star Luke Bryant. Meanwhile 12 men will be grilled by Emily’s friends, who will report back to her about who they think would be a good match for her and a good stepfather for Ricki. Emily surprises Arie with a flight to Dollywood for a special day on which the park is open only to them, and in a total shocker to Emily, her idol, country music legend Dolly Parton, gives the couple a private concert. But it all ends at a dramatic cocktail party when some of the men come clean about whether they’re ready to step up and be a stepfather, which sends shock waves through the group — and Emily decides to do something about it — on “The Bachelorette,” MONDAY, MAY 28 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

It’s revealed to Chris that he has to work for his romantic dinner with Emily overlooking the downtown skyline of Charlotte… by joining her in scaling a building! The climb will be filled with a lot of nature’s special effects – thunder and lightning. Will Chris be able to help Emily overcome her fears and lead her to the top? The evening culminates with a special performance by country music star Luke Bryan. But will Emily surprise Chris one more time with a rose?

The next day Emily accompanies 12 bachelors to a local park where they’re introduced to her best friends. The women come prepared to interrogate the bachelors and tell Emily who they think will be best for her and Ricki. After the inquisition, the men’s fathering skills are further tested when Emily reveals a group of rambunctious children streaming into the park who are all ready to play ball, hop on swings and chase the guys around, all under the Bachelorette’s watchful eye. At the after party that night, the competition revs up as the men battle for the rose. Meanwhile, one bachelor breaks down because he misses his son. Will he be able to continue his pursuit of the Bachelorette or will he succumb to his loneliness?

Emily surprises an ecstatic Arie with the last individual date of the week, which begins with a private jet to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where she reveals that they’ll spend the day at Dollywood, one of her favorite places. The couple have the park all to themselves to ride all the rides, play games and have a ball. But even Emily, who went to the park many times growing up, can’t guess what is coming. She gets the surprise of her life when her idol, the legendary Queen of Country Dolly Parton, serenades the two of them. After the special concert, things get steamy as they enjoy a romantic dinner and share one of the most intense first kisses any couple has shared in “Bachelorette” history. Is this the start of something special or is it too good to be true?

The cocktail party provides the backdrop for a bombshell disclosure, as Emily discovers who is ready to be a father and who isn’t. A distraught Bachelorette makes her feelings clearly known. When one of the men tries to comfort her with a kiss, another bachelor is outraged. It’s a rough night, and only 13 men will remain at the end of it to leave Charlotte and move on to the first stop in their world wind tour, Bermuda.

ABC ENTERTAINMENT LAUNCHES NEW FACEBOOK PAGES FOR MODERN FAMILY, ONCE UPON A TIME AND THE BACHELOR

February 29, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

ABC is One of the First Primetime Television Networks to
Use New Facebook Pages to Showcase Programming

As an industry leader in the digital space, ABC is the first primetime television network to launch new Facebook® pages for “Modern Family,” “Once Upon a Time” and “The Bachelor” with new page timeline and cover photo features for each show. The new features will bring new content to people who want more from their favorite shows, and will result in an enhanced fan experience.

Emmy-award winning “Modern Family,” which airs Wednesdays from 9:00-9:30 p.m., ET, stars Ed O’Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sof’a Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex, Rico Rodriguez as Manny and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily.

“Once Upon a Time,” which airs Sundays from 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET, stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David, Eion Bailey as August, Jared Gilmore as Henry Mills and Raphael Sbarge as Jiminy Cricket/Archie Hopper.

“The Bachelor,” airing Mondays from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ET, is the original primetime romance reality series that offers one lucky man and 25 lucky women the unique opportunity to find true love. This season the hit series is celebrating its 10th anniversary, featuring its 16th edition with successful winemaker Ben Flajnik getting to know 25 women via a series of social gatherings and exotic, romantic dates. Now, Ben is close to the end of his journey, which has been filled with drama and surprises against the backdrop of spectacular international settings. The Bachelor may quite possibly have found true love with one of the final two bachelorettes — Courtney or Lindzi – but the big question is: After all of this, will he pop the question, and will she say yes?
