NBC ANNOUNCES NEW DATING SERIES ‘READY FOR LOVE’ FROM EXECUTIVE PRODUCER EVA LONGORIA WITH HOSTS GIULIANA AND BILL RANCIC SET TO PREMIERE IN WINTER 2012-13

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — April 18, 2012 — NBC announced today that its new relationship show, “Ready for Love,” an innovative series that brings the age old art of matchmaking to the modern age, will premiere in Winter 2012-13. The series, from executive producer Eva Longoria (“Desperate Housewives”), UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, Renegade 83 and Universal Television, will give three successful and handsome men who are committed to finding the right woman the chance of finding their soul mate. Giuliana and Bill Rancic will host the series where three matchmakers will help the men find their perfect mates.

Women looking for love can submit their info using the new Facebook timeline app. This app, which is available at Facebook.com/NBCReadyForLove, allows them to apply or share the opportunity with friends and family members that might be perfect potential love interests. The app will also connect people to the eligible guys via the “Ready for Love” Facebook Page and the guys’ Facebook timelines which will feature profile videos and provide a window into their lives, families, careers and passions. As the show progresses, fans will be able to discover and engage with new content from “Ready for Love,” immersing viewers in 24-hour storytelling through the Facebook Pages for Longoria, the eligible guys, the matchmakers, and the women looking for love.

The announcement was made by Paul Telegdy President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment.

She has enlisted the help of the three best matchmakers in the world, each with their own philosophies and approaches to guiding singles towards love,’” said Telegdy. “The show’s innovative format that uses online profiles and proven matchmakers will provide a better chance for our suitors to realize connections that will last long beyond the season finale.”

Longoria has hand-selected three men who are committed to finding the right women with whom to share their lives. They are Ben Patton (http://www.facebook.com/PattonB), an international financier from Dallas; Tim Lopez (http://www.facebook.com/TimJLopez), a member of the popular music group Plain White T’s from Santa Barbara, Calif., and Ernesto Arguello (http://www.facebook.com/arguelloernesto), an entrepreneur with a social vision from Miami, who will all vie for the chance to find true love. These three successful and family-oriented men have full and busy lives, but the only thing missing is someone to share their lives with — and they are ready and willing to open their hearts to America and embark on a life changing process.

In order to find their ideal partners, Longoria has enlisted the help of the three best matchmakers in the world. The series begins with the matchmakers’ nationwide search for the potential perfect mate for each man. The three matchmakers will each select their team of 12 girls, four per guy. To be selected as part of a matchmaker’s team, the women will have to convince one of the three matchmakers that they’re a true fit and feel a real connection with one of the men. Once selected, each matchmaker team will live in a different house where they will receive personalized advice and mentoring.

At the end of each week everyone will convene on a state of the art stage in front of a live audience to watch the dates and receive feedback from the matchmakers. The women who fail to make a connection with the men will be sent home. In an intense finale, the quest for love culminates when the three men choose their final three women, who together, must decide if they’ll get engaged, married, or simply live happily ever after. Longoria, the Golden Globe-nominated, Screen Actors Guild Award-winning, and ALMA Award-winning actress, producer, businesswoman, and philanthropist, is best known for her starring role as Gabrielle Solis on “Desperate Housewives” for eight seasons. NBC’S ’30 ROCK’ WILL PRODUCE NEW LIVE EPISODE ON APRIL 26 FROM STUDIO 8H IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – March 29, 2012 – NBC’s “30 Rock” – which achieved impressive ratings and critical acclaim with its first live episode in 2010 – goes live again on Thursday, April 26 (8:30-9 p.m. ET) from the iconic Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center in New York.

When their Kabletown bosses announce they will no longer pay for TGS to be a live show, Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) and Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) realize their lives will actually be easier if they shoot canned episodes fast and cheap. Only Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) objects, urging that nothing can replace the communal experience of live television. He tries to convince the TGS staff to fight for their right to be live by taking them and our audience through a magical look back at the illustrious history of Studio 6H.

The series’ first live episode was on October 14, 2010. Beth McCarthy-Miller, who directed that episode, will return to direct the new live episode.

Once again, two versions of the same story will be telecast – one live for East Coast viewers and a second for the West Coast. The first show will be telecast at 8:30-9 p.m. (ET) and the cast will perform the same episode for a new broadcast at 11:30 p.m.-12 a.m. (ET) for the West. Central time zone viewers will be able to see the first live show at its regular time (7:30-8 p.m. ET).

Studio 8H is the famed studio that has been the home to “Saturday Night live” and many other memorable NBC television and radio programs.

Multiple award-winning comedy “30 Rock” is told through the comedic voice of Emmy and two-time Golden Globe winner Tina Fey as variety show producer Liz Lemon. The series also features two-time Emmy and three-time Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin as top network executive Jack Donaghy and Emmy nominee Tracy Morgan as Tracy Jordan, the unpredictable star of Lemon’s hit variety show, “TGS with Tracy Jordan.” Lemon constantly has her hands full, juggling corporate interference from Donaghy and off-the-handle star antics from Jordan, all while attempting to salvage her own personal life.
