Kanye West blows up after “Today Show” interview

As we have been plugging Kanye West’s interview with Matt Lauer on the “Today Show”, who would of thought any problems could happen. While Lauer was asking him questions about what happened at the MTV VMA’s, like usual on the show, they play video of what took place but West was not happy hearing the audio being played during the interview.

West would go on to tweet the following after the interview:

I went up there to express how I was empathetic to Bush because I labeled him a racist and years later I got labeled as a racist. While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the ‘MTV’ under with me with audio!!!!!!!!

I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show…and that’s a very nice way for me to put it!

HE TRIED TO FORCE MY ANSWERS. IT WAS VERY BRUTAL AND I CAME THERE WITH ONLY POSITIVE INTENT.

I felt very alone very used very tortured very forced very misunderstood very hollow very very misused. I don’t trust anybody but myself! Everyone has an agenda. I don’t do press anymore. I can’t be everything to everybody anymore. I can’t be everybody’s hero and villain savior and sinner Christian and anti Christ!

Everything sounds like noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING SOUNDS LIKE NOISE!!!!!!!! I don’t trust anyone! Very judged very scrutinized very criticized!

Yo I really wonder if Matt Lauer thought that s–t was cool to play the ‘MTV’ clip while I was speaking about Bush? He played clips of Bush and asked met to look at his face while I was trying to talk to him.

I wish Michael Jackson had twitter!!!!!!! Maybe Mike could have explained how the media tried to set him up!!! It’s all a f–king set up!!!

This is rock and roll life my people…you can’t stop the truth you can’t stop the music and I have to be strong or ‘they’ win!!!!

West has since deleted all the earlier posts.  Meanwhile, on the Today Show, Al Roker addressed that Today Show puts videos of interviews for everyone, including politicians and they stand by their interview.

MATT LAUER TALKS TO KANYE WEST ABOUT ONE OF GEORGE W. BUSH’S “WORST MOMENTS”

LAUER/KANYE WEST INTERVIEW
MATT LAUER TALKS TO KANYE WEST ABOUT ONE OF GEORGE W. BUSH’S ‘WORST MOMENTS’

Interview to Air Tomorrow, Thursday, November 11 on “Today”

NEW YORK – November 10, 2010 – - In an interview to air tomorrow on NBC’s “Today” Matt Lauer sat down with Kanye West to discuss his reaction to what George W. Bush described as one of the worst moments in his presidency. In his new book Decision Points, and in an interview with Lauer, Bush talked candidly about how West’s remarks at the 2005 NBC Katrina telethon affected him.

Bush told Lauer, “He called me a racist… I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.’ It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency.”

In the taped interview, West told Lauer, “I would tell George Bush in my moment of frustration that I didn’t have the grounds to call him a racist. But I believe that in a situation of high emotion, like that, we as human beings don’t always choose the right words. ”

Bush responded in a live interview on “Today” this morning: “I appreciate that. It wasn’t just Kanye West who was talking like that during Katrina. I cited him as an example. I cited others as an example as well. And, I appreciate that.

Lauer asked, “Does your faith allow you to forgive Kanye West?”

Bush responded, “Absolutely. Of course it does. I’m not a hater. I didn’t hate Kanye West. But, I was talking about an environment in which people really just say things that hurt. Nobody wants to be called a racist if, in your heart, you believe in equality of race.”

The interview with West will air tomorrow, Thursday, November 11 on “Today.” In response to West’s recent Twitter remarks, “Today’s” statement follows:

“We look forward to airing Matt Lauer’s interview with Kanye West tomorrow on ‘Today.’”

Jim Bell is the executive producer of “Today” (Mon.-Fri., 7-11 a.m.).

Kanye West collaborates with S. Korean pop group JYJ

We are seeing a few American artists collaborating with the hot S. Korean pop groups as of late and the latest is Kanye West who has teamed up with pop trio JYJ (Kim JaeJoong, Park YuChun and Kim JunSu).

The trio are also known for being part of one of the hottest and most successful pop groups in S. Korea and Japan known as DBSK/TVXQ (in Japan as Tohoshinki) and even for us at J!-ENT, fans from all over the world showed their love for the group with our 500-page book on the band (which has received over 3 million downloads since its release).

The trio is taking a break from their group as the dispute between members and their S. Korean label SM Entertainment is still unresolved.

JYJ has just released their album “The Beginning” and for the track “Ayy Girl”, the group collaborates with Kanye West and M. Yusuf. According to Billboard.com, “Show Shop Entertainment released the album Oct. 14 through Warner Music Korea. In the United States, Warner Music is releasing the album digitally through iTunes and Amazon with a CD release planned for late 2010 or early 2011.”

And the tracks are pretty slick, catchy and so damn cool! And as the fans would say, JYJ FIGHTING!

LADY GAGA DOMINATES THE 2010 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS WITH EIGHT MOONMAN AWARDS INCLUDING COVETED “VIDEO OF THE YEAR”

September 13, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Kanye West and Taylor Swift Return to the VMA Stage

Lady Gaga, outdoing even herself with her adventurous couture, dominated the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, adding eight to her collection of Moonmen with awards including “Video Of The Year,” “Best Dance Video,” “Best Pop Video” and “Best Female Video.”  Eminem, who opened this year’s Awards with a triumphant performance, walked away with two statues for “Best Male Video” and “Best Hip Hop Video.”  VMA newcomers 30 Seconds To Mars and Florence + The Machine took home their first wins for “Best Rock Video” and “Best Art Direction,” respectively.  Justin Bieber was voted “Best New Artist.”

A year after Taylor Swift’s first VMA win was interrupted by Kanye West, the two returned to musically play out last year’s drama, once again on the VMA stage. For an exclusive live performance, Taylor sang “Innocence,” an emotional song she wrote about how she felt after last year’s incident.  Later in the evening and this year as an official performer, Kanye debuted “Runaway” (featuring Pusha T from Clipse), a personal statement on the turbulence of the last year.

MTV aired the 2010 Video Music Awards live on Sunday, September 12 from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, having transformed the venue into a 1950’s sculptural nod to modernism.  The VMA’s kicked off with an epic performance by Eminem backed by an orchestra to present a medley of his comeback anthem “Not Afraid” into a fiery version of “Love The Way You Lie” with surprise guest Rihanna.  Host Chelsea Handler brought her edgy comedic flair to the Awards, making a dramatic entrance that riffed on Lady Gaga’s extravagant fashion sense, flying onto the stage wearing a suburban house on her head, complete with a single car garage, and ending her monologue by releasing a dove from her dress.  Backstage before taking the stage, Chelsea was shown receiving “encouragement” from well wishers Li’l John, Flo Rida and a score-settling Lindsay Lohan.

Kim Kardashian introduced Justin Bieber, who made his VMA debut performance with an outdoor set of “Baby” into “Somebody to Love” to throngs of adoring fans – including Kim herself who, waving a restraining order, professed she’d nonetheless wait for the young heartthrob in his dressing room.

In another show highlight, the one-and-only Cher presented Lady Gaga with her “Video of the Year” Award, donning the same outfit (yes, she still fit into it) that she barely wore more than 20 years ago in her own memorable video “If I Could Turn Back Time.”

With an intro by Ke$sha and Trey Songz, Usher’s electric entrance and pounding energy brought down the house with a medley of “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” into “OMG!,” showing off his dance moves against an other-worldly combination of visual effects.

The physicality of Usher’s set contrasted with VMA newcomer Florence + The Machine’s ethereal, breakout performance of “Dog Days Are Over,” featuring a large-scale dance number with scores of dancers and percussionists to create a flowing dream-like sequence.

Representing the rock side of the house, Linkin Park extended the VMA stage to include the first-ever performance at the landmark Griffith Observatory, where they performed their powerful single “The Catalyst” against the stunning backdrop of a spectacular Los Angeles sunset.

Hip-hop artist Drake was joined on onstage by Mary J. Blige and Swizz Beatz for a performance of his hit single “Fancy,” set against a supper club backdrop. Shortly following Drake’s performance, Chelsea stumbled upon the cast of “Jersey Shore” in, what else, a hot tub.  Teasing the cast about how dirty the water is, she finally agreed to jump in fully clothed, only to emerge wet and pregnant.

Additional performances included a medley by “dream team” Bruno Mars, B.o.B and Paramore, marking the first time ever that B.o.B. and Hayley Williams of Paramore sang their hit single “Airplanes” together.

Joining this year’s VMA house artist deadmau5 to perform their current hit singles was Travie McCoy, Jason Derulo and Robyn.  The night was filled with a long list of musical artists and stars including: Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, MTV Tr3s Artist of the Year Romeo from Aventura, Sofia Vergara, Jared Leto, Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, cast members from “Glee” and “True Blood,” Ne-Yo, Ellen DeGeneres, the cast of the upcoming film “Jackass 3-D,” Penn Badgley, Selena Gomez, Emma Stone and Ashley Greene.

Kanye West apologizes to Taylor Swift and writes song for her, writes heartfelt message

It must have been a deep morning for Kanye West. With the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards coming up, Kany West has once again apologized to Taylor Swift on her Twitter account and has also wrote a song for her.

West tweeted about Taylor:

I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her.

She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her. She’s justa lil girl with dreams like the rest of us.

She deserves the apology more than anyone. Thank you Biz Stone and Evan Williams for creating a platform where we can communicate directly

We’re both artist and the media and managers are trying to get between us. Everyone wants to capitalize off this is some way

West tweeted many messages in regards to his current mindset, about Swift, about his life, about the economy and having to let go employees and more. Here is an excerpt of what West tweeted on Saturday morning:

Man I love Twitter… I’ve always been at the mercy of the press but no more… The media tried to demonize me

They wanted yall to believe I was a monster in real life so you guys wouldn’t listen or buy my music anymore

I feel like they were waiting for the opportunity to go in all the way on me and when it came they beat me to a pulp

Even now a lot of articles start there first 2 paragraphs about how much of an asshole I am

How deep is the scar… I bled hard.. cancelled tour with the number one pop star in the world … closed the doors of my clothing office

Had to let employees go… for the first time I felt the impact of my brash actions … I felt the recession from an ownership side

People booed when I would go to concerts and the performer mentioned my name.

Remember in Anchor Man when Ron Burgandy cursed on air and the entire city turned on him? But this wasn’t a joke. This was & is my real life

There are people who don’t dislike me… they absolutely hate me!

I was chilling with this white girl having a conversation and she cut me off and said… Hold up… I thought you didn’t like us?!

That’s when you realize perception is reality. I’ve been straying from this subject on twitter but I have to give it to you guys raw now.

I have a mission in life to bring truth and beauty through my music and the visuals that anchor around it

The media has successfully diminished the “receptive” audience of (3rd person)… KANYE WEST

It is distasteful to cut people off as a general rule. What’s the point of dressing tastefully if I’m going to act the complete opposite?

Yes I was that guy. A 32 year old child.

When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE … I take the responsibility for my actions

I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don’t always need my help.

Beyonce didn’t need that. MTV didn’t need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn’t want or need that.

These aren’t regular tweets… this is stream of consciousness … I want you guys to know and feel where my head is at…

Why was it made into such a race issue. Taylor loves rap music… I love country music.

I’ve hurt, I’ve bled, I’ve learned. I only want to do good. I am passionate I am human I am real. I wish I could meet every hater

I wish I could talk to every hater face to face and change there a opinion of me one conversation at a time.

I wish they all knew how much I really cared about music and pop culture and art and peoples feelings.

I wish they could accept that I’ve grown and only want to do good for the world. I want to help as many people as I can.

I want to help starting with the music and ending with the smile.

I want to win there hearts back so I can continue to bring my take on culture to the masses with a clean opinion.

It starts with this…

I’m sorry Taylor.

Get your twitter fingers ready for more unforgettable moments as MTV announces the first round of artists who will perform LIVE at the “2010 MTV Video Music Awards.” Kanye, Drake and Florence + The Machine will take creative leaps and bring fans an evening filled with groundbreaking performances that will be discussed for years to come. With the highly anticipated release of Kanye West’s new album this fall, music lovers and fans alike will be glued to the screen to see what the rapper has in store for the audience when he hits the VMA stage. This year’s awards will mark the first VMA performance for Grammy® nominated hip-hop artist Drake and UK indie favorite Florence + The Machine, who will perform her 4-time VMA nominated “Dog Days Are Over.” Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Selena Gomez and Ne-Yo are the first presenters confirmed for the show. The “2010 MTV Video Music Awards” will air live from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.) MTV will announce additional performers, presenters and host on a later date.

“To be performing and nominated at this years VMA’s is completely amazing and especially for the song ‘Dog Days.’ I recorded that song in a cupboard with no instruments and the sound of the drums was me banging my hands on the wall, clacking pens on Mpc’s and generally causing a cacophony with anything I could lay my hands on.,” said Florence + The Machine. “For this song to be recognized at such an iconic event is a total dream. For me ‘Dog Days’ symbolizes apocalyptic euphoria, Chaotic freedom and running really really fast with your eyes closed. I hope to somehow encapsulate those things in my performance at this years VMA’s. I would also hugely like to thank everyone at the VMA’s for giving me this opportunity.”
