Wyman. “On behalf of the cast and crew, we applaud our fans and FOX for allowing us to imagine the impossibilities together for so long. Season Five is going to be a conclusive thrill ride for all of us.”

Animation Domination HD, the new animation unit created by Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX), has acquired the rights to the hit comic phenomenon AXE COP, it was announced today by Nick Weidenfeld, Head of Animation Domination HD. AXE COP will premiere as part of FOX’s new Saturday late-prime Animation Domination HD block (11:00-12:30 PM ET/PT) debuting in 2013, and across digital platforms.

“AXE COP is one of the most creative, hilarious and naturally viral comic properties to emerge in the last decade,” Weidenfeld said. “I’ve hoped someone would adapt AXE COP for television for years and couldn’t be happier that we get to be that someone. AXE COP has all the makings of an iconic animated series and it will help set the tone for FOX’s new late-prime Saturday animation lineup.”

AXE COP is the first new series in development by Animation Domination HD. The new unit has ordered six quarter-hour episodes of the series. Additional auspices to be announced.

The “Axe Cop” web comic was created by then five-year-old Malachai Nicolle and his 29-year-old brother, Ethan, and chronicles the adventures of an axe-wielding police officer and his loyal team of allies as they fight bad guys. Written by Malachai and drawn by Ethan, the first five installments of “Axe Cop” were put online on January 25, 2010 and went viral in a matter of days. Three days after AxeCop.com went live, it was featured as Entertainment Weekly’s “Site of the Day,” and the series quickly became an Internet meme. MONDAY

Mondays this May are nights of gripping drama and a bittersweet goodbye with three all-new hours of BONES and the last four episodes of FOX’s award-winning, groundbreaking series, HOUSE, including installments directed by series star Hugh Laurie and Peter Weller and the two-hour Series Finale event on May 21, in which the final hour – and series finale episode – is directed by series creator and executive producer David Shore.

Monday, April 30

BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Family in the Feud”

After a corpse is found in the middle of the woods, the Jeffersonian team links the victim to two families that have been feuding for almost a century. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) discover that the victim only had weeks to live before he was brutally murdered, and a family member with a shocking confession brings them closer to finding a motive. Meanwhile, Brennan has difficulty accepting her father Max’s (guest star Ryan O’Neal) offer to babysit Christine.

HOUSE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “The C-Word”

In an all-new episode directed by series star Hugh Laurie, the team takes on the case of a six-year-old (guest star Rachel Eggleston) with numerous pre-existing health problems. They soon realize they must work with the girl’s mother, Elizabeth (guest star Jessica Collins), a doctor who specializes in her daughter’s genetic condition. But while searching the family’s home for clues, the team discovers that Elizabeth’s determination to cure her daughter could be the very thing that is killing her. Also, House (Laurie) and Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) take a little vacation.

Monday, May 7

BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Suit on the Set”

Brennan and Booth head out to Los Angeles to consult on the production of “Bone of Contention,” a film based on Brennan’s latest book and the work of the Jeffersonian team. While on set, Brennan intervenes after finding flaws with the actors’ performances, not to mention the film’s total disregard for science. Then she discovers that the prop cadaver being used is an actual murder victim, forcing her and Booth to launch an investigation that has real-world consequences in the land of make-believe. Meanwhile, Booth is offered a job on the studio lot, and embarrassing information is revealed about Cam’s (Tamara Taylor) past.

HOUSE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Post Mortem”

In an episode directed by and guest-starring Peter Weller (“Dexter,” “RoboCop”), the team takes on the case of Dr. Peter Treiber (guest star Jamie Elman), a pathologist at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital who knows too much about the hospital staff to trust any of the physicians. The only person he does respect is House, who has mysteriously gone missing. With House in absentia, the team has to figure out how to treat Treiber while making him believe that House is calling all the shots.

Monday, May 14

BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Past in the Present” – Season Finale

Ryan O’Neal guest-stars in the season finale of BONES. Evil tech genius Christopher Pelant (guest star Andrew Leeds), a suspect in a previous case Brennan and Booth handled, is back in court on appeal. Knowing what he is capable of, Brennan and Booth inform the judge that he is a suspect in two murder cases. Then, Brennan and Booth are called to the scene of a new murder. After determining the victim is Brennan’s friend, who also is linked to Pelant, the Jeffersonian team works to prove he is guilty once and for all. But when law enforcement examines the team’s findings, key pieces of evidence are tied to Brennan and suspicion falls on her.

HOUSE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Holding On”

Former Princeton Plainsboro colleague Thirteen (guest star Olivia Wilde) returns in an all-new episode. The team takes on the case of Derrick (guest star Skylar Astin), a 19-year-old college student who had a mysterious nose bleed during cheerleading practice, and discovers that his health issues are likely both physiological and psychological. Possibly suffering from schizophrenia, Derrick claims to hear his deceased brother’s voice in his head. Meanwhile, Foreman (Omar Epps) tries a different approach with House.

Monday, May 21

HOUSE (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Swan Song (HOUSE Retrospective) / Everybody Dies (Series Finale)” – Series Finale Event

The special two-hour HOUSE Series Finale event kicks off with a one-hour retrospective special that will look back at this groundbreaking, seminal series and feature interviews with the series’ stars and producers, special original content and other surprises. GEORGE LOPEZ TO HOST “TAKE ME OUT” DEBUTING THURSDAY, JUNE 7 ON FOX

April 18, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

Multi-talented entertainer George Lopez will host TAKE ME OUT, the provocative and unpredictable new dating series premiering Thursday, June 7 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. TAKE ME OUT, based on the hugely successful international format, is a fast-paced, dynamic new series featuring 30 single women searching for a match and several brave bachelors who must make the ultimate first impression.

With an extensive career that encompasses television series, film, and standup comedy, Lopez will play matchmaker between the 30 female contestants and the men hoping for the chance to take one lucky lady out on an ultimate dream date.

“I am thrilled to be hosting such an entertaining new series,” said Lopez. “Anything can happen on a show like TAKE ME OUT and I’m looking forward to the excitement.”

“George’s amazing energy, spirit and incredible comedic timing make him the perfect host for TAKE ME OUT,” said executive producer Jeff Apploff.

Filmed in front of a studio audience and comprised of four rounds, TAKE ME OUT begins with a group of 30 beautiful, single women in search of finding a match made in heaven. Every week, the women are introduced to several bachelors one by one. Each woman stands at a lighted podium with a switch that controls her fate for a date: if she thinks it’s a match, she keeps her light on; if her attraction has been short-circuited, then it’s lights out and she waits for the next potential Mr. Right.

As the hopeful mate reveals more and more about himself, the women continue to turn their lights out as they lose interest—leaving only the flirty females still fascinated by him.  At this point, the gentleman takes control of the game and eliminates the ladies by turning out the lights of those women he’s just not into. During the last round, the bachelor will pose one final question to the two remaining women and will choose a winner to join him on a romantic fantasy date. Meanwhile, the remaining 29, plus one new woman, return during the next game for another chance at finding the guy who will light up their lives.

About George Lopez

Lopez is currently on a national stand-up comedy tour after hosting the late-night cable talk show “Lopez Tonight.” He co-created, wrote, produced, and starred in the groundbreaking sitcom “George Lopez,” which ran for six seasons. The show remains a hit with viewers in syndication, ranking among the Top Five comedies and Top 20 weekly programs in syndication. In addition to his work in film and television, Lopez has an impressive career in stand-up comedy, with comedy specials “Tall Dark and Chicano” and “America’s Mexican.” His stand-up albums “El Mas Chingon” and “Team Leader” were both nominated for Grammy Awards in the category of Best Comedy Album. Lopez also published an autobiography, “Why You Crying?,” that entered the Top 20 on the New York Times Best Sellers list. Time magazine named him one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America, and the Harris Poll named him one of the Top 10 Favorite Television Personalities.
