Platinum Selling Disney Channel Star Selena Gomez and
Rock Sensations OneRepublic Set to Perform
“Episode 1203A” – The competition grows tougher as a second couple is sent home, on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, APRIL 5 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
On Tuesday night, Disney Channel star Selena Gomez & The Scene will perform their newest single, “Who Says,” accompanied on the floor by series pros Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower. Also this week, rock sensations OneRepublic will play their smash hit “All the Right Moves” with the “Dancing with the Stars” Dance Troupe in the ballroom. The band will also play their newest release, “Good Life,” with series pro dancers Dmitry Chaplin and Lacey Schwimmer on the floor.
Platinum-selling Disney Channel star Selena Gomez and her band “The Scene” recently launched their new single, “Who Says,” from the upcoming Hollywood Records album, to be released this summer. The video for “Who Says,” which was helmed by award-winning director Chris Applebaum (Rihanna, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey), premiered on Disney Channel last month. “Who Says,” produced by Eman (Whitney Houston, Celine Dion) and co-written by Priscilla Renea (Cheryl Cole, Rihanna), is an up-tempo paean of self-empowerment. The song will be featured on Selena Gomez & The Scene’s third CD, on the heels of their winning this year’s People’s Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist. Selena and her band already have a platinum single, two No. 1 Billboard Dance Singles, and two gold-selling, top-ten debuting albums under their belt. Selena’s talent extends beyond music; she is the star of the hit Disney Channel original series “Wizards of Waverly Place” and has starred in a spate of big-screen movies, including “Ramona & Beezus” and upcoming Fox feature film “Monte Carlo” (July 1).
The smash hit rock band OneRepublic began touring in March, and their single “Secrets” remains in the Top 5 at Hot AC Radio. “Secrets” is the second single from OneRepublic’s 2009 album, “Waking Up.” A No. 1 hit on the iTunes chart in Germany, the track claimed the top spot on the iTunes Rock Chart in the U.S. in July. It is OneRepublic’s fourth Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After seven years together as a band, OneRepublic took the world by storm in 2007 with their debut release, “Dreaming Out Loud.” The album included the smash single “Apologize,” which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide, and, along with second single “Stop and Stare,” propelled the album to platinum-plus sales. Their 2009 sophomore set, “Waking Up,” has spawned two singles – “All the Right Moves” and “Secrets” – that have topped the radio charts and sold more than 3.4 million units to date. “Good Life” is their newest release from “Waking Up.”

Jason Derulo and Shakira Perform and
The Fifth Couple is Eliminated on “Dancing with the Stars The Results Show”
Tuesday, October 19
“Episode 1105/1105A” – This week on “Dancing with the Stars,” it’s TV theme night, with eight remaining couple doing the Quickstep, Tango, Rumba, Foxtrot and Jive to iconic theme songs from such television series as “Friends,” “Bewitched,” “The Brady Bunch” and more, on MONDAY, OCTOBER 18, (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
On Tuesday, the fifth couple to be eliminated this season will be sent home on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Also on Tuesday’s Results Show, red-hot pop singing sensation Jason Derulo will perform his platinum single “In My Head,” and a contemporary version of the classic song “Georgia on My Mind.” Derulo recently embarked on his first tour of the U.S. since his six-week stint on the road with Lady Gaga on her sold-out “Monster Ball” tour of North America in January 2010. The first artist signed to Warner Bros. Records’ joint venture with Beluga Heights, Derulo is touring throughout the Fall 2010 in support of his self-titled debut album, produced by veteran songwriter and hitmaker J.R. Rotem (Sean Kingston, Rihanna, Leona Lewis). The album has spawned three hit singles and established the Miami native as the breakout star of 2010. The triple-platinum “Whatcha Say” (which spent four consecutive weeks atop the Pop chart), and the platinum “In My Head,” made Derulo the first male solo artist to score consecutive No. 1′s on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart in the chart’s 17-year-history with his first two entries. “Whatcha Say,” which climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Rhythmic, and Pop charts, has sold five million copies, while Derulo’s second single, “In My Head,” has sold more than three million copies, both worldwide, to date. His third single “Ridin’ Solo,” has been certified platinum in the U.S., while its accompanying video has earned more than 17 million views on YouTube. Derulo has sold over 10 million singles and 600,000 albums worldwide. Collectively, his videos have racked up more than 200 million views on YouTube, making Derulo the channel’s 20th Most Viewed Musician of all time. Derulo has also been nominated for three 2010 Teen Choice Awards in the music category, including the highly coveted “Choice Music: Breakout Artist – Male.” “In My Head” has been nominated for “Choice Music: R&B Track,” while the album has been nominated for “Choice Music: Album – R&B.”
Also on Tuesday, Latin singing sensation, Shakira, is set to perform her newest single “Loca.” Shakira’s (Epic Records) global hit “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa),” has become the best-selling World Cup song in history. “Waka Waka” will be available on her forthcoming album Sale el Sol/The Sun Comes Out, which is scheduled to be released on October 19th. After selling an astounding two million singles, “Waka Waka” is the biggest World Cup song ever released, however its success goes far beyond its popularity as a song, the song and accompanying dance has become a cultural and viral phenomenon. The official video for “Waka Waka” has seen over 170 million YouTube hits making it the #4 most watched video of all time and the #3 most watched music video. Including unofficial “Waka Waka” videos, the total cumulative views are over 350 million. The track was also the soundtrack to Shakira’s hugely successful 1Goal campaign in which Shakira devised the now-famed “Waka Waka” dance and tasked her fans around the world to “dance for 1Goal” and upload their “Waka Dance” videos to spread the word for education.
Fans in overwhelming numbers made videos and uploaded them to YouTube with flash-mobs popping up across the world – together gathering more than 400 million views and helping to promote 1Goal’s campaign for universal education. On the heels of the momentous success of “Waka Waka,” Shakira is set to release her new single “Loca” in Spanish and English featuring UK phenomenon Dizzee Rascal and Dominican hip-hop artist El Cata (on the English and Spanish respectively). Recorded in the Dominican Republic, Shakira brings her signature fusion of musical identities to this production of “Loca” by blending the horn-heavy elements of meringue with a synthesis of techno percussions laid out to a dance back beat. “Loca” is Shakira’s interpretation of El Cata’s song “Loca Con Su Tiguere.” For the “Loca” video, Shakira took to the streets of Barcelona, with Dizzee Rascal and a handheld camera, as the backdrop for “Loca.” In an attempt to capture the true interpretation of the song, Shakira opted to go away from the traditional big production music video to portray a spirited, fun-filled day being ‘loca’ in the streets with the people of Barcelona.
By evening’s end, one couple will be eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes on dances performed on Monday’s performance show. Who among the following eight teams will be next to leave the ballroom floor?

“Episode 1101A & B” – On the Season Premiere of “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” the first couple of the season will be sent home, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (8:00-9:00 & 9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). Tuesday’s telecast will also feature the show’s biggest music premiere yet when guest artists Santana, India.Arie and rock band Daughtry perform. In addition, comedian/”DWTS” alum Adam Carolla returns for more comedy.
This week, music legend Santana is set to perform three songs on the show, his classic Latin song “Oye Como Va” and two from his brand new album in stores today — entitled Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time — “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” featuring guest singer India.Arie, and Def Lepperd’s classic “Photograph,” featuring guest vocalist Chris Daughtry. Rock Band Daughtry will also perform their hit single, “September.” “Dancing with the Stars” pros will accompany the acts on the dance floor.
The longest-running, most successful partnership in the history of rock, Rock And Roll Hall of Fame inductees Carlos Santana and Clive Davis, Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment, have collaborated on the brand new concept album, Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time, arriving in stores today, September 21 on Arista Records. The album was co-produced by Howard Benson, Matt Serletic, Clive Davis and Carlos Santana. This is the first new studio album by Santana since their trilogy of consecutive blockbuster Arista releases, Supernatural (1999), Shaman (2002) and All That I Am (2005). Santana boasts 20 RIAA gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums (including their first 14 consecutive certifications), 10 Grammy Awards and lifetime sales of more than 90 million albums worldwide.
In addition to Chris Daughtry’s guest vocalist role on Santana’s performance of “Photograph,” his band, Daughtry, will perform their hit single “September,” which broke into the Top 3 at Hot AC. Co-written with guitarist Josh Steely, “September” is one of the most personal songs on the platinum album Leave This Town, which draws on Chris’ experiences growing up in the North Carolina town of Lasker. Daughtry’s second and current album, Leave This Town is the band’s second No. 1 album and continues to grow with its multiple hit singles. Released in 2009, Leave This Town reached platinum status on the charts and contains the hit song “No Surprise,” which was the band’s fourth No. 1 single. Recently Daughtry completed its very successful, first-ever headlining arena tour, performing at over 90 arenas across the U.S., and now they have plans to play for their fans overseas in Asia, Europe and South Africa. Daughtry’s self titled debut album, which they released in 2006, went five times platinum globally. The album went on to be named the No. 1 selling album of 2007 by Billboard and scored three No. 1 hits, “It’s Not Over,” “Home” and “Feels Like Tonight.” After the band finishes touring and performing around the globe, they will be taking a break before they start working on their third album.
Hosted by Tom Bergeron (“America’s Funniest Home Videos”) and Brooke Burke (“Dancing with the Stars” Season 7 champion), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Grammy Award winner superstars Maxwell and Jill Scott will kick off their U.S. arena tour on May 21 in Cleveland. Maxwell is catapulting off his two recent Grammy Awards and his No. 1, platinum “BLACKsummers’night” (Columbia), which dominated year-end critics lists. She has been writing and performing professionally since the age of 14 and signed her first songwriter deal at the age of 17, subsequently penning songs for Latin recording artists Belinda and RBD, Sean Paul, Mark Ronson and her own single, “One Rhythm,” which reached No. 1 in Latin America and on the U.S. dance charts. The forthcoming “Luna Nueva,” co-produced by Surco Records founder Gustavo Santaoalla (two-time Oscar winner, multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winner, Juanes, CafŽ Tacvba) and Marius de Vries (five-time Grammy Award nominee, two-time BAFTA winner, Madonna, Josh Groban), is an irresistible hybrid of Latin rhythms and straight-ahead pop.

The performance will be arranged by award-winning choreographer, Marguerite Derricks, who reprises some her famous choreography from “Austin Powers” and “Fame,” with a special appearance by Debbie Allen.
